Runes and what-not...

hey, I was just wondering about the abilities of runes and the like. Could someone explain please?

is there a way to put up rune-stones in the corners of my yard so that my dog doesn't run away?  things like that.

what symbols are used for what purposes?  What sort of surfaces can they be written on? and how?  are Japanese kanji used at all?

also, does anyone recognize the symbol in my avatar?(if it is not a symbol i have changed it)

please explain runes to me. thanks.

The viking runes do have the most information upon them. I have a book that everyone pans but it really works good for me. The runes are colored and done more like a kabbalistic alphabet.
  Now if you would like to find out about Kanji you should read Magical Alphabets by Nigel Pennick. He wrote a very interesting book on how all alphabets can be used for magic. You really have to be into alphabets as it can be a dry subject.
  My favorite on the runes is out of print but it is Esoteric Rune Magic by D. Jason Cooper.  Another good book is Rune Magic by Donald Tyson. I have seen a lot of quality books out there but those are two I have used.
  I have written a book with my own magical alphabet but it is not in print yet. I find them very useful and easy for people to do.

I have had many sucess's with runes but they always seem to fit in with the flow of life. It is not as if it stands out and shouts at you. I really enjoy a lot of the astral meditations upon the different runes for various purposes.
How you would do this is draw a rune upon a doorway on the astral. You would then open the doorway and experience what the rune is about for you. Beorc is especially good for this. It heals and cleanses problems in your life. It also helps you to forgive yourself for any mistakes that you have made in your life.

Refreshing to hear, you don't waste your time only with herbal medicine.

Runes is see sometimes as archetypes on my road.

I found times branches who had a look of a man-rune.
This for me an important rune to link and focus my mental activities stronger and to get in vibes with the cosmic energy.

I also use the fyr-rune sometmes to energyze food like meat/ barbecue. lol

For evry rune there is a hand seizure and body position, while body position is not so important.If you know all hand seizures it is enough,too.
You are right runes are not so stand up/shout out.Should be viewed like a mayan kalendar(energy-time), runes are very powerful and have a lot of knowledge in the fact.

  Go to my website and read it. I may sound simple but I do very complex ritual magic ceremonies upon the astral and have a great many techniques I have fine-tuned over the years.
  Never judge a book by its cover. I do simple methods here because it is what people can use. You can not expect most of these people to have been trained in hermetic, ritual or any other type of magic.
