Not recurring, but continuation

I have to say this has never happened to me.  I've had plenty of dreams that I went back to after waking up, but those were in the same morning.  Well, I've been having a dream continuation for three days now!

It all started on Saturday morning with a dream.  I woke up and then drifted back to sleep only to go back to the same dream.  It wasn't a replay of it, but a continuation.  I woke up and went back to the dream at least two more times that morning.  Same thing happened yesterday morning, and this morning.  But like I said it is the same location, same people (except for this morning a new girl was introduced) but a on going story....

Another weird thing about this dream continuation is I'm using telekinesis.  Hehe :P  I don't normally dream about this at all, but it is quite prevalent through out this on going dream.  In fact I don't want to toot my own horn but I seem to be one of the people in the "town" that can really do it well and the others look up to me and try and learn from watching me.   There is one man that is teaching me how to do different things.  I'm learning the different techniques used for different situations... LOL  I'm sorry but just saying this out-loud sounds extremely silly to me.

At one point there was a younger guy to my left when a lot of us were outside, and he shot up a .....lol.... only way I can describe it is a ray of light coming out of his hand..lol.. *oh boy....no dragon ball-z stuff for me*
This stream of light was dark in color and he shot it up into the air and that was it.  Without even thinking I tried the same thing and out comes this huge reddish light, it goes up into the sky then comes right back onto itself going into the ground and the ground moved like a waves on a ocean. (like I threw a pebble into a lake causing ripples)  Really wild looking..and I have to confess I had a smile on my face when the others were totally impressed.

Anyway...I don't want to go on and on about every detail of my on going dream, I just wanted to say how much it seems like I'm visiting another version of me having another life...strange, but I can't for the life of me figure out how I keep going back to the same place with different events happening....and what is up with the Telekinesis?  I've never really been interested in it..and frankly don't think it can happen outside the astral.  Yet the way I'm being taught to use this new tool, is quite realistic and makes sense.  :)

OH well, I'll give ya any updates to the dream, and thanks for listening. :D

Hi Nay, pretty cool dream!

Must be a lot of fun do have these dreams. I always enjoy it when I haved special powers within dreams. This could be some kind of training like a school for telekinesis or something. I'm just reading a book called Dreamgates by Robert Moss which deals with similar things, could probably be of interest for you as well.
Cheers Tom

Thanks Tombo, I'll have to give that a look.   :D

Hi Nay !

I've had plenty of recurring dreams too, but none like that !

Usually, I'll fall asleep again, back into the same dream-world I experienced earlier that morning. Whilst other times I'll wake up from a dream with a sense of de-ja vouz, & later realise I had been in the same dream place weeks or months earlier.

I've never had anything like your recurring dreams...sounds fantastic !

How consistent are the dreams....do you recognise exactly the same places and people ?

When I have recurring dreams, I see it as strong personal evidence of the reality of our non-physical lives. In "the art of dreaming", Castaneda discusses how our perception of reality is a fixed point, residing in one place in our souls. Every human perceives from the same point, hence we see the same physical world. When we learn to shift this fixed point to a new position, we perceive a different reality.

So, from Castaneda's point of view, you are repeatedly shifting your focus* to the a new place, but the same place each time, hence you are perceiving the same world each time you dream !

* I'm sure Castaneda had a distinct term for this ....can't remember what it was off the top of my head...!

Hey there Mark. :D

Yeah..this was quite different for me as well.  Usually I can only continue a dream that same morning.

You asked, How consistent are the dreams....do you recognise exactly the same places and people ? In that dream I only recognized the people and place due to the fact that I was there several times..lol  but other than that, nope.

I posted about another dream I think it was called village man.  Now in that dream I had a sense of being there before and the man was constant thought out the dream..yet I didn't really recognize him as "oh..I've dreamt about him before"  Just a sense of him being there, and helping me out when needed.

So, from Castaneda's point of view, you are repeatedly shifting your focus* to the a new place, but the same place each time, hence you are perceiving the same world each time you dream ! So you mean, I'm going to the same focus level, but instead of just re-playing the same senerio over and over, I'm moving on with the story?  LOL sorry, if that didn't make sense, I may not be understanding what you mean.

Oh well, I haven't had another dream about that place since I posted about it.. I suppose it is a mute point now.. :P

Thanks for your comments Mark!  Hope you're doing good.

Hugs~ Nay
