I saw a symbol while meditating

I was hoping someone could shed some light on this for me. I was meditating, (on my birthday, which may or may not be irrelevant), and a symbol appeared. It was a cross with a spiraltwined around the body and one arm. I hold this symbol very dear to me now, and enjoy drawing it, displaying it etc. but other than that I don't know what to do with it. Can anyone explain what I can do with such a symbol or why it appeared. Also, is there anywhere I can read about what these elements (i.e. the cross and the spiral) may mean symbolically. I'm not a Christian, but the corss does look very much like a crucifix.

you will see as you look at the world card across decks that it is either one or two veils if correctly drawn it is two one red one blue if not it may be gray and only one .
