enlightenment... then what?

I always find it odd that people who are enlightened will say how they found answers to questions and so on but then never go into specifics. Surely if theyre enlightened then they can teach us things theyve learnt from being in that state? Can anyone answer that one? (Im not trying to say people are lying or keeping things from non enlightened people)

Because it's something that needs to be experienced, and not so much talked about. And like I said previously, words are inadequate to fully describe the experience. Words are very limiting. I've even heard people say that to utter a single word about enlightenment is a defilement. As soon as you describe something, you are putting it in a box. But the infinite cannot be boxed- it goes beyond boundaries.

Yes, but some choose not to. That's just part of individual expression. Some, will spend their time in solitude, away from society; others will be teachers; others will be artists etc etc etc
The problem with miracles is that, at first, people will be impressed. But in no time, they will feel greedy and want more... bigger... better. All the while not gaining anything from the experience. They'll reduce divinity to a sideshow. They miss the point. They'll become so focused on the one performing the miracles that they'll deify him (or crucify him... whatever the case may be). The point that they miss is that they themselves have the potential to perform those miracles. It's not about the "special chosen one" coming down from heaven to save us. It's about seeing the divinity in yourself, and in all man.

Or a reason not to suffer?

That's what it's all about. Enlightenment = no suffering. I personally wouldn't state it as a "reason", so much as a "realization".

I understand that in different spiritual systems, there exist many different levels that one can attain to.

All that levels that you read it about are from this "ilusory world" and they are illusion or maya....

Well phoeb once you reach cosmic consciousness in the not so distant future as you so modestly see it[] You will be able to do many things and one of them is assencion where you will be able to transend this dimension and reality and enter what could be called a Cosmic college of sorts where you will start to learn the basics of creation and what direction you will then wish to go in for instance classes such as "Guiding 101" or "Creation of Organic Life" etc.... But the classes are long and you will spend a minimum of 1,000 Earth years in this learning period but it's not anything like school on this plane. It is a period of Cosmic Ecstacy filled with beautifull beings and energy's many of which you will remember once your there from other lifetimes and places......Many Blessing's

Ok, sounds great! So what happens next? Typically you start forgetting all of that amazing cosmic knowledge as it leaks out of our somewhat inadequate brains over time. Reaching enlightenment only once is just a taste of what can be. The trick is then to do it again and again, and each time remember more. In the case of kundalini awakening though you have to be careful here as the body needs to learn how to cope with the energy surges, otherwise you can fry nerves.

Knowledge is the state of MIND, and apsolute conscious is beyond the mind...

Mind can not know apsolute consciousnes....

Knownig something means object..  and there is no objects, and subjects in apsolut consciousnes

Enlightenment to me is just the process of learning about things the way they truly are, 'shedding light on reality' as it were.

Sth? Jnana? I hate you people. Take a page from Bruce's book, replace all the fancy Chakra and Dan Tien names with some understandable terminology for those of us who really don't care about fancy original names.

I faced the same situation about a year ago.  It's hard to say what it is.  For me I felt somewhat frustrated after hearing so many success stories and how effortless it seemed for everyone to attain them.  ie- "tried my first OBE last night and succeeded", etc.  But it's just a fact of it all.  There are some out there that simply succeed faster then others.  I assume that the majority struggles more then they succeed.  I think maybe the best advice on the subject was given by Buddha... "Discover your own path to enlightenment with diligence".  This spiritual journey is your own undertaken by you alone.  The trials you face in it are specifically meant for you to make the experience the most productive it can be.  If you are facing a barrier it is up to you to discover within yourself how to overcome that barrier, and once you do you the reward will be much more profound then if it was achieved effortlessly.  My advice, take Buddha's, just be diligent.  There is nothing out there that states when you should be at a certain spiritual point, it's always an individual and personal journey.  Enjoy where you are and continue to move forward.
