Alternative Websites

How come all of the alternative science, new age, occult sort of websites (not forums) I have come across, look really half assed. There are a lot of websites out there with really good ideas (fake or not) but with absolutely horrible websites.

Have any of you come across any of these websites, and maybe wondered why these professionals havent obtained a convincing website?

When you design pages your gola is to make it cool, interesting, easy to navigate...

When you publish information important thing to you and most readers is content, not appearance...

Even if design is poor i dont like pages without photos/ilustrations, i like to work with graphics(flash,3d), and its always easier to understand for me something trought pictures.

Hi Logic

One reason is because some of these sites are run by volunteers, non-profit sites. Very hard to find the people with web talent to volunteer time.
