Well, I have meditated sometimes but now I think I will give my best effort to meditate every day.

One question I got is why is it that you should meditate at the same time.  I saw redcatherine saying this.  I don't think that there is an importance on the time of practice as long as you do it daily.

The best I get from meditation is when I meditate before I go to sleep and after I wake up.  I meditate for 30 min most of the times.  I started out using an alarm clock but I have stopped now and I am able to realize about how much time I meditate :) I still keep a clock around.  I only watched it once today.

Well today I had a good session I believe, I was able to concentrate a lot. I always have problem at the beginning getting my act together and my thoughts relaxed.  I believe it is amazing having the ability to relax your mind from all thoughts.  Sometimes it just gets very noisy in there.  I have noticed this a lot whenever I get hatred thoughts.. how noisy I can get... Meditation helps me from not having any negative thinking towards other and my-self.

Today I felt something weird while meditating.  I felt some vibrations on the left side of my stomach.  It was kind of weird.. I realized at some point and when I tried to look at it it seemed to fade away so I went back on meditating and I could still feel it.  Anyone knows what that was?

In general I think it is very good to have the lotus position and this is how I sit.  I am flexible enough to do it. I encourage people not being that flexible to attain some flexibility.  It helps your back from being all messed up.  It keeps my back and neck all steady and straight.

The bad thing for me is that my leg gets numb within 30 min.  Does anyone know a way to prevent that?  Although I meditate for about that time it is annoying.  Today I was able to concentrate and not let the numbness affect me or  break my concentration. When I was done though.. OMG  I grabbed my leg and placed it on the floor...It felt so weird.  I thought the leg I was holding wasn't mine.  I couldn't feel any sensation at the beginning as if it was dead... I felt bad because I thought of people that are on wheel chairs.. :'(  It was just a very weird feeling that I felt like sharing.. I had it for around 3 min so I could start feeling things again.

Thats all. :) Post anything helpful or share your experiences.

Routine structure is hugely helpful when trying to speed up and enhance development . Projecting during meditation or trance from the same chair in the same room at the same time provides this routine .

A good energy that feels relaxing and protective builds up in that chair that can be felt by clairsentient sensitives . I would even suggest making this your chair and avoiding its use by others so that the energy of others does not interfere with your own.

When you sit in that chair you begin subconciously to get ready for spiritual working time and your guides come in expecting that from you because you have made this an established practice .

I have my great grandmothers rocker for projection , development and meditation . We have 3 computers but I choose to go to the same one to read online . I have a comfortable computer and hassock set up for reading sitters or doing esoteric work online . If my feet go up on the hassock my guys know it is working time and different than the signal that comes from sitting down quickly to read family email . I can feel my guides come in close as I sit down in either of these chairs now. Try it you might like it .

Your higher self goes into an auto mode and you project more easily with better recall due to this regimen . This habit is helpful but that does not mean we should restrict our meditations to only one time . Certainly full moon ,sunrise ,and sunset are examples of powerful times that are variable by nature . So too we will want to take advantage of opportunities to work with others and these should be separate from your independent development  time .Indeed taking any opportunity to meditate is pleasurable and rewarding. But setting some time aside to WORK and develop has its advantages .

This is something I cannot do. Have a fixed routine for meditation/energy work. However I've always thought that there is merit to being able to stop and meditate anywhere and in nearly any situation as long as your attention isn't required. As a way to build up your abilities of concentration as it were.

There and then I've always been the type who cannot settle into full daily routines, so my energy work happens at any time of day, and meditation attempts again at any time, or several times.
This may be personal, you may need the benefits of subconscious triggers that strict(ish) daily routines give you. I prefer to train mental flexibility, a take anywhere do anytime approach. Saves me being dependent on time and place :-) Just an alternative though. Redcatherine is far far more experienced in actual psychic ability developement etc, I just move energy around some right now.
I can't do cross legged or lotus for long either, I've quit on those postures. I don't know how people do it for hours, but I don't believe that cutting/slowing down blood supply to the legs is a good idea in the long run. Perhaps someone with more experience can tell me how this is gotten around because I haven't found it yet. I don't believe you can get conditioned to this problem either. :-).
May your [insert choice of deity/higher power etc here] guide you and not deceive you!

Thank you both :)  The only reason I don't want to think of it as a routine is because I don't want to feel bored of it.  When things are a routine they feel the same (even though they are not and I don't think each meditation is the same even though I am still an amateur) they become dull  and boring.  You could tell me that you eat everyday at about the same time..  Don't you ever get bored of that.. Of course I would answer no and be confused as I am now :p

I meditate on the floor and I used two blankets.... I don't really like the chair idea, no that I have tried it but anyways :p  I have a chair in my room that I mostly use. Hardly ever other people sit on it.  I have read that when we pass by things our astral body interacts with the environment.  So it makes sense when you tell me all that. :)

Thanks for the info :)
