Leaving Your Body Unintentionally

Ahhh, this sounds all too familiar.  It took me almost a year of projecting before I got sight.  Here is what I can suggest to you.

When you find consciousness projected outside the body like before, and you only see darkness, it's easier to use your *imagination* to HELP you get your astral sight.

For example, the other night, I was floating in this black void.  Not only could I not see, but I was flailing my arms all over the place, trying to grab onto SOMETHING....anything.....just to get a point of reference.

So what did I do?  I *imagined* that I grabbed a handful of grass or weeds.  As I reached out, suddenly, I felt some weeds and I grabbed them for real.  Now keep in mind that I still can't see, but now I have something in my hand.

Then what I did was I held these weeds up in front of my eyes, and *imagined* that I could SEE them.  It seems that in the astral realm, you can use your imagination as a useful tool to help develop your astral ablilities.  Once I started to imagine I COULD see, my vision slowly faded into place, where I found myself outside under an expressway.

The technique I used above works for me when I have no point of reference while floating in this black void.  However, sometimes I roll out of my body, and although I can't see right away, I still have no vision.  BUT....I DO have a point of reference, since I know that I'm in my room, so I just *imagine* that I grab my door in front of me, and then it happens.  Once I am holding something in my hand, my vision slowly kicks in.  Weird how that happens.

One thing you need to do is get at least 20 feet away from your body, seems like there is still a connection that happens that keeps energy in your body and wants to suck you back in(probably why you feel like being on a leash). Yea, I know this doesn't help cause you cannot move but if you seardch the site this has been talked about a lot. Some I remember is to ask for sight, ask for a guide, think yourself into another room, feel yourself moving up.
I have experienced darkness and it took a while to get out of it and I still find myself there sometimes.

In the world in general and in this nation
May not even the names disease, famine, war, and suffering be heard.
May virtuous qualities, merit, and prosperity greatly increase
And may continuous good fortune and subline well-being perfectly arise.

Hello Everybody,

About a year ago after much practice i did succeed in having two very short  real time OBE' but since then have not really practiced much due to various comitments.

However, i have on many occassions, maybe once or twice a week found myself semi consciously leaving my body, just a few feet, going either lest, right, forwards, 180 degrees etc.. This is quite a pleasant experience and the seperation symptoms are very gentle and always the same, no vibrations, no sounds, no feeling of travelling at a million miles an hour, just a slow seperation..  I know i am not dreaming as i am conscious but once i am out, have no sight and cannot go anywhere else, even if i tell myself to. I just feel myself hovering in my energy body and most of the time, feel myself being tugged back and force, a bit like being a dog on a lead!

My question is, why does this happen and why when i am seperated from my body can i go no further.. It took me two years to even have a short OBE and now i am seperating from my body on a regular basis without even trying!! Does anyone else experience this??

Cheers,

Richard
