Hi,
Is it possible to treat two people at the same time by placing one hand on one person and the other likewise? I haven't tried it but wondered about doing it.

Tom

Yes, entirely possible. It is even better if you attune both of them and the three of you can take turns doing reiki on each other. Giving reiki can be as healing (or more than) as just receiving it.

samsara

Thanks for that, Tom. I'm only at level one at the moment but I'm taking level two in a few months. I thought it would be useful to be able to pass reiki to two people at once rather than treating them seperately.

Tom

It is just more common for more than one person to do reiki on a single person than the other way around. Sending reiki to more than one person at a time can be done in person, but it is easier to do it at a distance; if you make a list of people you can hold the list in your hands to send reiki to them.

What you have in mind is still fine to do.

samsara

Thanks. Is it possible to do distance at level 1? I thought that only came into effect at level 2.

Tom

It is one of those things that no one likes to talk about. All you have to have is something to represent the person / place / thing / situation you want to send reiki to. I like to use my thumb, with both hands wrapped around it. The thumb can represent the whole person or even just a specific body part.

samsara

that's interesting to know. Will this also work if the person is present?

Tom

Yes, you can used techniques for sending reiki at a distance to someone who is close enough to touch. I read that it is useful in a situation like a job interview.

Thanks, Tom. I was considering that some people may be uncomfortable with hands being layed on them (Personal space) and this looked like a good alternative for those people.
