Stronger energy techinques

Hey, I got a question. I've been using NEW for a while now and have hit the point where the energy sensations are starting to calm down. While I understand objectively that this means I'm making progress, it's really difficult to accept subconsciously that this means I'm making progress and it's getting a bit discouraging. I was thinking that it's a bit like working out, where the same weight becomes easier and easier the more you use it. So, I'm trying to find ways to "increase the weight" for energy body manipulation.

So far I've tried color breathing and filling my body up with a color and doing NEW like that and it seems to be working OK for the moment. I've also tried vibrating vowel sounds which also seems to work. But, I'm not quite sure what I can do when these likewise calm down.

I've also tried pot, and energy work done while stoned is incredible, and I've found that the increase in visualization abilities and ease of energy movements lasts for days afterward. But, I don't want to over rely on that for obvious reasons. Not to mention that I've seen many warnings about using drugs being able to cause a premature kundalini awakening.

Although honestly I don't know whether that's something I really need to worry about. I was trying the "sex magick" approach and running energy up my spine the other day. And I got the sensation of a thick red cord of energy running up from the base of my spine, it kind of felt like a cross between fire and electricity. I only had it for a second or so, and it only made it up to naval level. But aside from strong energy spasms at the time there didn't seem to be any negatives side effects.
