Is there a limit to how much projecting you can do?

Last night after I projected  I heard a man's voice. I had never heard it before. I can't remember his exact words, but he said that I should get back to my body now. He also said that I shouldn't project anymore tonight, because I need to save my energy.

The subtle energy kept coming to me so I wanted to project again, but I decided to listen to the advice of the voice and wait until tonight before I project again.

There were also a couple of other people in the back ground. I couldn't see them. One of them asked me if I had gone through psychotherapy. I haven't, but I've been looking into my own mind alot lately. I believe this is part of the reason subtle/astral experiences have come back to me. I don't know why, but I got the feeling that these other people wanted information on me so they could collect a fee.

IS THERE A LIMIT TO HOW MUCH PROJECTING YOU CAN DO?

Reminds me of descriptions of those dweller on the threshold experiences. After getting out of body, some people confront an entity of some sort which tries to block the way to further projection. I haven't had this kind of experience, but I read that the best solution is direct confrontation.

I wouldnt worry about the 'dweller' myth.. thats what it is.. of course if you really want to perceive a manifestation of all your fears all bundled up into one,  then that is what you will see.. but thats the crazy way to get over your fears as it may drive you nuts...

Slow steady progress is the way to go these days.. and one day all your fears will be gone.. the only blockage to infinite progress!

Forget the 'dweller' stories.... that model is old hat these days and certainly not recommended.

Okay. Then what was that person who was saying "go back"?

There's a yin and a yang way to look at this.

You could see it as a stone-fisted sentinel trying its best to block your path and prevent you from seeing the hidden mysteries of yourself and the universe within...

OR...

In my optimistic opinion...  It was simply some friendly advice.

There is always the temptation to AP as often as possible.  A slight rush within us to see just how far we can possibly go.  But sometimes it's best to take the small steps for what they are.  Slow and steady wins the race...

I too have had guidance telling me, "Okay.  Enough for tonight.  Back to your body now... it's time to rest."

I've found that the slower you do it, the more progress you actually make.

The voice or apparition telling the individual to turn back was most likely a fear projection.. it was their own fears manifesting their concern about 'moving too far' which must be bothering the individual on some level, even if they didnt realise it.

This kind of manifestation of desires/fears is very common in the astral.

To put it simply.. there are no barriers to progress other than what you put there yourself.

lol.. my first thought was dweller.  I wouldn't poo-poo the whole idea of the dweller. ;)

When I first started finding myself out, I had a couple of people that tried to scare me.. and they did..lol  But I haven't had anything like that since then either, guess I got over my fears with that.

Thank you for the responses.

What is funny about this is that I'll feel some fear before I go to bed at night, but when I start to be overcome with astral energy I don't feel significant fear. In fact, I consciously make an effort to project. If somebody (?) tells me to go back to my body again tonight, I'll ask them for an explanation as to why, and who they are.

I've not met a dweller yet in my experiences but I'm sure they exist if people want them to. A way to overcoming fears etc. If that's your personal thing then fine I guess.

Sometimes I feel I would like to have met mine and have a good old epic battle like in a fantasy movie or something
As I lay down and rested, I marveled at the stars in the night sky, but then I thought, where the hell has the bloody ceiling gone!

Those fantasy battles are great, I had one about 3 or so weeks ago, it was just really amazing as up until about a year ago I couldn't have told you what projection was, let alone accept it as a possible reality.
