you might only get this if you live in the north of england

Gandalf

not bad, but isnt it 'chavs' not 'charvs'?

Up here in Scotland we have a related but distinctive variety known as 'neds'.. The main difference appears to be that while 'chavs' like to wear their fake burberry caps on the level almost covering their eyes (with added scarf over mouth), up here self-respecting 'neds' like to wear their fake Burberry caps at what might be described as a jaunty angle, with the front of the cap pointing up at an almost vertical angle.

just want to correct an misconception amongst many american posters:
The Union Jack is not only the 'flag of England'.. it is also the flag of Scotland, ie that is why it is called the *union* jack. Both countires still have their own flags of course but we both also share the *union* jack flag: if you look at the design of the UJ it is made up of both the scottish and english flag designs.

The reason I'm saying this is because after last years Tartan Day celebrations in New York, some people were asking why many of the pipe bands were carrying 'english flags' as well as scottish ones... meaning of course the Union Jack.

Here endeth the boring lesson

lol S'also only a Union Jack when it's flying on a ship, otherwise it's just called the Union Flag.

Hurrah for useless information!

Hope you feel better soon, imogen.
`Witches just aren't like that,' said Magrat. `We live in harmony with the great cycles of Nature, and do no harm to anyone, and it's wicked of them to say we do. We ought to fill their bones with hot lead.'

Gandalf

lol... thats also true!
