Coincidences

The word you are looking for in synchronicity. I have heard it called the bridge between mind and matter. It has even occurred in my life, but it terrifies me when it does. It raises questions I would rather not answer, such as what I would have done without the improbable things which happened in my favor.

Ahh, love coincidences like that...

Sometimes it's syncronicity and serendipity as well...

I remember, was it last year, when George Harrison died and for some reason I went out for Indian food for lunch. I didn't go directly to this resturant, in fact, I wasn't even going that way for anything really in my car, but found myself there none the less. I sat down and was about to begin eating from the buffet when I saw the owner talking to another customer was obviously looking for a place to sit and eat. I was sitting at a table for two and asked if he would please be my guest. He asked if it was ok and I insisted that he sit and enjoy some good food. The owner thanked me and he got went to get his food. While doing so I kind of evesdropped on a conversation that was going on at a table next to me about spirituality and mystical experiences and such and thought about my own experiences with Kundalini energy. The gentleman returned with his plate of food and sat down a few minutes later. Shorty thereafter we struck up a conversation and it turned to George and 'The concert for Bangla Desh' and the introduction of Ravi Shankar. Then I asked this guy, and really didn't expect an answer other than, "What's that?" I asked, "Do you know anything about Kundalini work?" and he smiled and said, "YES, oh, I studied in India for many years..." and off we went with that conversation for the next 30 minutes. He really knew too, about the power and the madness and everything in between. I shared my experience and so on and there was this totally harmony as if we were old friends connecting after some many years. It was one of the better lunches I had had in so long a time. We left saying goodbye and shaking hands and I thanked him for sitting as he thanked me for offering to sit and we parted.

As customary for me, I like to thank my guides and the universe at large on moments like this for it helps strengthen the beliefs I have about this life experience. I feel validated and 'right' in my thinking in that we are more interconnected than we allow ourselves on a societal whole and if I keep my focus and intent in that direction, I will simply find others who share like beliefs. That way, harmony is maintained by not preaching to others on how to think or belief, but simply, working with others who are already in agreeance. I look forward to the day when all of our goals are towards forward, progressive thinking for the benefit of each other and not the individual, ego-self. God knows I can't do it alone, and if you think you can, you are fooling yourself. Look around you...there are many : )

Yes,  syncronicity -  the best definition I  have heard  for syncronicity is that it means perception of 'the unseen order behind seemingly random events'.

I think that this does sum it up.... whats serendipity then?

I was just down the road walking the family dog in the woods. On the way back, I met this neat older lady.  She said something about seeing javelina and then we just naturally flowed into a spiritual conversation.  It totally felt like a Celestine Prophecy coincidence, especially since the conversation was so effortless.  We just talked about how pure animals are, how the physical realm is important, but an illusion, and about the Carlos Casteneda books. She seemed pleased that someone so young (I'm 21) is on the journey to "wake up". I realized that I do all these spiritual and metaphysical things but I never really had the concrete realization that I was on "the path". It just seems like the only to do to me, and it never seemed weird because of places like this forum and many books (including fantasy fiction) that just made it my normal worldview. She is giving a talk at this bookstore in town on Nov. 7 that I'm sure I'll go to, and who know what kind of random connections may happen. I love all the little mysteries of life.  Ben
