O.k. here is my problem. Whenever I try to deeply relax my legs they ALWAYS tense up, I don't get this problems with my hands.

What I do for my hands is I kinda 'remove' my self from my hands, I just let it go, and they get quite heavy really fast, but not for my legs, they always tense up if I try to remove my self from them.

By removing my self I mean, you just let go of the control of your limb/s.

Hi.  I'd recommend that before you try relaxing your legs, you do some good leg exercise, followed by deep stretching.  If you work your legs out (try specifically to work out all the different muscles thoroughly) and then stretch them all out, I've found it really, really helps you relax them afterward, very deeply.

You might also want to specifically do a lot of energy work on your legs, because I have similar problems and associate it with energy blockages in my legs.

I second this!  It's so much harder to relax my legs, which are prone to tensing up, when I haven't thoroughly stretched.

Maybe it's how you're sitting, you're not cross-legged are you? If so, try it in a chair or lying down. The guys are right, exercise helps, the muscle wants to relax and recuperate once the blood has gone out of it.

Thankyou very much for your replies. I did some streching and energy work on my legs before I attempted a projection and the benefits were very noticeable.

Try practising a myriad of kicks... I know I put on music in my basement and try roundhouses, side kicks, rising kicks, snap kicks, and do it with both the front and back leg, switching sides, jumping, etc. All very fun and healthy and ritinr.g
