Vision is variable, I did not see much for the first few obe's. There is a point where the heart chakra is humming that the 'eyes' seem to relax, I bet that is the point that most people get astral vision.

In the world in general and in this nation
May not even the names disease, famine, war, and suffering be heard.
May virtuous qualities, merit, and prosperity greatly increase
And may continuous good fortune and subline well-being perfectly arise.

don't open your eyes.  i thought my astral eyes were closed twice only to find when i tried to open them i opened the physcial ones.  right back to my body.  i don't believe you have eyelids there but am not sure.  vision is likely to be horrible at first.  it will get better.

I heard somewhere that people soemtimes get their vision when they believe they are in astral and can actually feel themselves walking around and feeling walls and stuff and then they move far from their physical body until they get their vision.  If you can get to that point , try moving away from your  physical body until vision comes?? I dunno good luck!

Loving yourself first is the most important step you must take before you can truly love someone else.

Feel free to ask me anything. I'll try to offer advice if I can.

Sometimes you have to will it to happen.  Usually what I do is the following:

1) Make sure that you're away from the physical body.  Being too close often affects your astral senses.

2) Make sure you're relaxed.  Usually when beginners get out of body, there is so much adrenaline and excitement running through you that you aren't relaxed.

3) To help relax, I always take 2-3 deep, astral breaths.  With each breath I take, I imagine my vision coming in more and more clearly.

4) While you're doing this, mentally declare, "Clarity now!"  Or "Vision Now!"  The words aren't important, so don't think this is somekind of magic.  The important thing is that you associate what you're saying to a greater clarity in vision.  State it with intent, be relaxed, and it will happen.  You just have to believe it will.

Thank you, Jeff! After years of spontaneous, visually perfect projections, I'm just starting to get the "conscious projection" thing down, where I actually feel myself leave my body - and my vision has been ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING,  nothing but black gloominess and cloudy shapes. Its very frustrating, because it was fine before!

I'm starting to think it would have been better if I'd had to learn OBE through sheer hard work, rather than it coming to me "by accident" - this way, I seem to have developed a whole different set of problems!

I thing that astral body doesn't have eyelids and you don't have to open your eyes. In astral you can not close your eyes.

SPASTRAL

Hi all,

thanks for your responses, I have on a number of occasions opened my eyes to find that my physical eyes have opened, but only because I thought I was projected.

I will keep working on it.

Spencer

SPASTRAL

Hi all,

Tried to project earlier, got VERY close. I have been using a system where I imagine myself floating at the foot of the bed and look at myself, laying on the bed through this visualised double.

My question is:

With any AP technique, when do you see? do you have to open your eyes, or does vision just "happen"

I was so close and am starting to feel vibrations and a disoriented feeling, I think I am holding myself back now with fundamental things like vision and thinking....yes I'm there, no I'm not...am I????

any feedback on this would be useful.
