Did anyone ever have the experience when you think one of the 'actors' in your dream is real ?

In most of my dreams the personalities of the people in the dreams aren't really in-depth... But once in a while I run into a specific character that's different. These characters have a whole different feel to them, they act more or less out of their own accord (and not by the 'storyline' of the dream you are in). These people also do not disappear as easily as the more common characters in dreams.

(do not mistake me here: i do not mean you just encounter people that look/act real; or even a person you know, these are also non-filled characters 99% of the time, however good their impersonation is)

So I was wondering if these people were also just people you accidentally run into, because they dream of the same location / event / ...
So far i haven't run into anybody I know, so I have never been able to double check this.

Is this possible, or am i carrying my assumptions a little too far :) ?

I know exactly what you are talking about, since I've had the same kinda experience where a person who I don't know in real life shows up frequently in dreams with the qualities you described, such as being independent, constant, and just having a different vibe.

 Funny thing is I bumped into this person in an astral projection a short while later.  I was not even intentionally looking for the person, I was looking for something else, and then he turned up and he turned out to be that something else, more or less.

Were you ever able to check this in reality ? Like ask the person (should you know who this was irl) if he also had the dream ? (I know this is a longshot since most dreams are not remembered, but even so...).

I also remember these dreams more easily, and sometimes I wake up from them with a great satisfied feeling (as if I had an encounter with a friend) or with a puzzled feeling ( because I sometimes feel as if i know these dream entities, but I can rarely determine who they remind me of).

Nah, don't know the guy in real life.  What happened was I dreamt of him, woke up, went back to bed and had a fully conscious projection with a clear exit.

 In the projection I was very lucid and first appeared in some random place.  When I willed myself to find what I was looking for, and was transported in the presence of this person (didn't really expect him to be it) who I've seen in my dreams, the environment was exactly the same as the one where I saw him in the dream earlier that morning.

 It's really weird since the projection environment felt like the exact same... world, had the same vibe as the place where I was in my dream that morning.

 It was as if even though I've woke up from my dream, the guy still remained in the dream world (as if it was actually a public astral locale; I suspected it may have been) and was still there to be found when I had my projection later that morning.  He was even doing the same thing (both in the projection and the dream).
