The unknown chakras

Regarding the thymus chakra, sometimes when I meditate instead of feeling kundalini at the top of my head, I'll get this weird and strong sensation that extends from the bottom of my chin to where my heart area is.  I get a feeling as if the size of my body has extended to the space that would be filled in if you drew a straight line from where the bottom of my chin is to where my heart area is.

Sorry, but I can't provide any insight on what it's all about.

If you want more info on minor chakras one of the best books is "Kundalini and the Chakras" by Genevieve Lewis Paulson. It's got the most extensive info on other chakras I've found anwhere.

Also uselful is "New Chakra Healing" by Cyndi Dale, she has info on the rear sides of chakras and the chakras above the head.
