Hi there,

In the book it is said that they're distinct chakras but I've been reading about this theme from several sources and most of them state that the chakra related with gonads extends to the belly button's one, in a grand ball, as if they two would be in fact only one.

In my energy practice I can feel them two perfectly clear, but it is true, also, that when I'm sexually activated I feel a huge energy in both of them.

Any clue from you?

I'm not sure but it seems like several chakras can be included and referred to as the same chakra, probably mostly when they are working together.

I've seen several references to similar stuff here and there.

The chakra associated with sex is definitely a different chakra than the belly chakra. I think they are a little confused. While all chakras are distinct, they are all also connected. Just like  we can make the distinction between the organs of our body, they are also all connected. What happens to one organ effects the other organs and the whole body. So it is with chakras. When you become sexually excited, there is a chakra that is primarily responsible but others are or can be effected too. Idealy they all would be effected, actually, if you wished to cultivate your sexual energy by moving it up through all of your chakras.
Alice had got so much into the way of expecting nothing but out-of-the-way things to happen, that it seemed quite dull and stupid for life to go on in the common way.

The chakra responsible on a physical level for the sex / reproductive organs and other lower abdominal organs is the Sacral chakra, the second chakra (orange), located just below the navel.

It is the seat of our emotions, desire, pleasure and creativity, and is the center for our sexuality. It is also linked to the element of water.

Blessings,
James.
