Not really. i think the media / most writers take the notion of OOBEs very lightly, or in a way that is generally misunderstood.

On a side note, lots of crazy stuff happens on Jackie Chan Adventures all the time < = D They travel through time using talismans for godsakes! lol

wow. I bet a lot of christian parents are going to send them protest mail. My mom would freak out over "casper the friendly ghost."

sounds cute though.

Danged religious fanatics...they would condemn pumpkin pie or belly button lint if they really wanted to!

Kodemaster,
I just feel sorry for people who are so wraped up with their religion that their religion is the only thing that is true or real to them. Not that I think that there is anything wrong with beleiving in some form of religion I just don't think its a very wise thing to invest all in a single unwavering belief.

I have watched Jackie Chan Adventures and actually enjoy it. When I first learned about astral projection I woud get excited when I saw something about it on a show or movie. But as I have learned more about such subjects I am not longer as excited because I know that they get some things wrong or just take it lightly. The biggest complaint I have on this subject is how shows or movies will take such topic or things from other cultures and Americanize it which totally devalves the idea or practice and thus destroying its true intent or purpose. One obvious example that one would not have to go far to see is how the media protrays witchcraft, paganism, etc. It is nice that these shows expose more people to new ideas and those people interested in these subjects will do some research and find the truth from themself, so I guess it is not all bad.

Alice had got so much into the way of expecting nothing but out-of-the-way things to happen, that it seemed quite dull and stupid for life to go on in the common way.

I was sick and couchbound today, so I turned on the TV to ease my boredom. I caught a hilarious episode of "Jackie Chan Adventures", a cartoon aimed at kids, in which they were having OBEs!

The two main characters had a spell cast on them and they came out of their bodies. When their friend cast a spell on them to get them back in, they ended up in the wrong bodies! Meanwhile, one of their friends was in the astral whilst his body was taken over by a sheep!

I just thought I'd pass that along because it was so cute. Does anyone else get excited when they see OBEs on TV???

Cheers,

Jeni
