Well, I have no idea, but I think I have experienced a Kundalini awakening (I have many of the symptoms listed on various sites.

Within the last  week I have had the following(and they all started about at the same time):

  • Headaches
  • Lightbulbs (my brand new AMD 64 3500+ Custom will crash perdiotically)
  • Apathy
  • Movements (This is one of the rarest thing to happen, I will suddenly start shaking in a specific area[It only happened twice])
  • Fatigue (After I get home everyday, I will go on the computer, get updated, watch tv get updated more, and then be like totally flushed, like once I lay down, I just cant get up, this is not during the same time every day, it is extremely random.
  • Numbness (In my left leg)
  • Digestive Changes (Had to stay home for several days, worst I have ever had.)
  • The Long Dark Night of the Soul (Now, I have been feeling like extremely lonely, and depressed, of course.)
    [/list:u]

I have gotton this stuff from various sources. And cannot really confirm I have been awakened or not, I havent done anything. Is there anyway I can confirm that I have been awakened?

I've gone through a kundalini awakening which started two years ago. It's various degrees in kundalini awakening and this is a site that maybe can be of help: http://swamij.com/kundalini-awakening.htm

My first symptoms was feeling of energy moving along my spine. And that's quite logic because kundalini travels in sushumna, the central energy pathway or nadi that runs along the spine.

I know about the dark night of the soul, it can be very painful and tough. But it's worth going through it because the development possible with kundalini is tremendous.

Some of the benefits I've had is increased overall well being, better mental balance and better relationships with family and friends.

Kundalini is important I think on the path of spiritual evolution.

Ok thanks, one more thing.

Is Kundalini derived from the devil, being a strong Christian, I do not want to do anything against God's word.

I put some thought into this, although I am not exactly a Christian, and came up with this.  There is one part in the Bible where, I believe it is Jesus, tells the people to worship in the seven churches of Asia.

If it was Jesus, it is important to note that at that time, there wasn't exactly a boom in Judaism going on in Asia.  If it wasn't Jesus, then I am pretty sure it was OT where I read this.

Like I said earlier, there wasn't exactly a boom in Asia in Jewish teachings. I took this line to mean "church" as a spiritual center, and in most Asian teachings, the seven spiritual centers are the Chakras, and their "worship" or concentration and learning of them will lead to kundalini awakenings.  From that line of thinking is how I think of meditation and energy work in general in Biblical terms.

I will try to find the verses where I read this for you. In the meantime, I hope this helps.

Sorry about that, the verse I was thinking about was in Rev 1:4

QuoteJohn,
To the seven churches in the province of Asia:
Grace and peace to you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits[a] before his throne,

A better quote would also be Exodus 37:23, which reads:
QuoteThey made its seven lamps, as well as its wick trimmers and trays, of pure gold.
This could be thought of as a cryptic allusion to the alchemical process of turning the base soul we are all born with into the spiritual gold we are capable of being, and a road to that is through the perfection of the chakras (AKA kundalini awakening if I am thinking of this right).

Of course, I am more Gnostic than anything, so you would be right to think of another popular idea I meet up with a lot in my hometown:
"Even the Devil can quote Scriptures if it will suit his purpose", and come to your own conclusions.  Talk it over with your priest, minister, pastor, or whatever the title is for your brand of Christianity.  I promise I won't be offended. 8)

Kundalini is a part of the enlightenment process and one part of enlightenment is merging ones consciousness with god and thereby experiencing god consciousness. So I would say that kundalini definitely comes from god :) So you have nothing to worry about.

Kundalini is absolutely divine, it is the divine spark (a reflection of the Holy Ghost) which resides in each and everyone of us.
i have given a few links here, especially the first one deals with the way this spiritual energy has been mentioned in different religions.

Don't worry, CP, it's cool, you'r on the good path!

Dude, it sounds like you are just depressed!  This probably has nothing to do with Kundalini.  I too have seen the sites that give a laundry list of symptoms of "Kundalini" that read like the list on Prozac commercials.  I have definitely had my Kundalini awaken under dubious circumstances.  YOU WILL KNOW IF YOU HAVE HAD IT.

Sorry, I was relating rather to this experiences as being Kundalini awakening, which is this, obviously:
Quote from: stamboeMy first symptoms was feeling of energy moving along my spine. And that's quite logic because kundalini travels in sushumna, the central energy pathway or nadi that runs along the spine.

But Han, why are you so sure that it is so difficult? I've seen thousands of people awakening Kundalini, and only in the meditation class I attend fro some years (you can see the link in my profile).
It used to be difficult like hell before (not really difficult, rather very seldom). But these are the times in which this is happening on a collective level. There are just some many people who have witnessed it; even the interest in such energy, which has never been so strong throughout human history, is a fact.
And it is Kundalini, for all these people I have met. They really feel it, though they might not be aware of it's meaning and will not use it. Of course, if you are not a great seeker, of your desire to know/experience our Self is not so strong, Kundalini will not rise entirely, and you will only have a weak experience. But still so many people are doing this, and even if they do not understand the importance and will not meditate to strengthen this experience, still there is a great change in their life. I know many such people.
