Ap Friends,

Anyone ever work with sensory deprivation tanks (float tanks) in-depth?

I've read a lot about this and have always wanted to experience.

I would love to experience on as well but dont know where I could gain access to one.  I would bet it would kelp alot!

you can accomplish pretty much the same effect in a bathtub. low tech, but you save yourself 35-100 dollars/hr session. water should be body temperature, and supersaturated with epsom salt (@ 20-25%). turn off the phone, turn of the lights and voila. real dep tanks however would be worth the price for anyone that's having trouble projecting or meditating!
the temp. remains constant, relaxational music is piped in through the water, and there are no interruptions...save when your session is up.

i've been a few times and it was super relaxing, but since i have no trouble leaving my body and the physical world behind...the effects were nothing "special" and not worth the expense or trouble...kinda like a tanning bed :?

   that really helps!!??  will have to try that with epsom, can i get at food store?  theres this part of me that feels its not even able to project normally, like its all just too abstract behind closed eyelids, but maybe thats just those damn watchers have deteriorated everything again!

I've been able to project time and time again w/no problems but always wanted to try a floatation tank. I think it would be something to try first time and experience, but to shovel out $$$ would be a little costly. I do like the idea about the bathtub, but unfortunately the tub length isn't long enough for my frame.

true about the length of a tub.

epsom salts are cheap (drug store or grocery) under $2bucks for a good 3-5 lb. bag.

maybe a swimming pool - like one of those kid pools sizable enough to hold two people or four?

think that might be a idea?

i've got one of those! :) inflatable. $60 bucks at wal-mart (i know  )
it's excellent and can easily hold four people. two for sure stretched out with room to float pretty well. really nice under a full moon, but my favorite is in the rain!

seems like the real best time to float would be at night and not during the day unless in the cool shade, or with a night mask on.

have you had any success with oobe's with your construct?
