very strange dream, can anyone find the meaning?

I'm sure this dream has some meaning -

i become lucid in an unknown urban type place, and i then yell project me, project into astral and stuff. i fly upwards then find myself in my bedroom, on the floor in a corner facing up a bit. the room looks a bit different from what it is, and i dont have alot of control or clarity. there are hazy blotches as if i were looking through a camera and they were stuck on the lens.

I remember the playing card i left facing up above my bookcase incase i projected, and went up to look at it. it was 2 of hearts (which was actually wrong) but there were two lions fighting in the picture in the middle. as soon as i saw them i felt shocked and knew it had meaning, althought i have no idea what. Then i woke up.

I'm prety sure the lions have some meaning. My star sign is leo but i dont think thats important.

Another point of interest - Me and one of my parents have a natural ability to know certain things before they happen occasionally, usually things like spiders in a toilet roll before i pick them up, if theres an insect in my bed etc. When i picked up the card i had a feeling it was the 6th of spades. Thats what it turned out to be! although the dream got it wrong.

It seems that lions represent importance in your life, and insect-type things represent wariness.

Given this, two important things to you look like they may start to fight each other, and you'll become shocked at this.

The thing to note though is that I think you believe deep down there that the value of the card is not that important, but the major things in your life are. You must teach yourself how your lions and insects relate in your mind, so you can see more clearly.

very simply two aspects of yourself in struggle for control. dual dueling leos. leos have an incredible sense of pride, which you know. their egos can get out of hand at the best of times. also have great difficulty with trust. possibly you are not trusting your natural psychic abilities, or giving them enough attention...as you already knew what the card was. instead you are seeking (in a sense) "beyond" yourself for answers. both the subconscious and conscious abilities can be pursued of course...but you would do well to find out which to trust in which situations. that will come in another dream.

it will involve "integration". the fact that both the cards were of opposite suits. black and red...both hearts inverted/oppositely. possibly you need to start following your heart more consciously, and being more logical subconsciously?!?

Thank you for the replies, interesting stuff. It wasnt really "shock" when i saw the card, the feeling is hard to describe and I'm not sure if anyone can relate to it - Sometimes I get dreams where it feels charged in someway, more powerful. I only got that feeling when I saw the card, which is unusual.

I also just remembed a dream I had a few weeks ago, where I was in a hotel room i felt familiar with but had never actually been in. In that dream, I pulled myself up a wardrobe and saw the face of someone or something and woke up.

What links these two together is that in both cases I had a dream before it in the same night, where i am in a river struggling against the current, then turn round and let it take me to a cave where I have to collect 5 little glowing things in the corners :/ they kept reappearing and i got really mad.

I know what you mean, that almost 'shock' feeling in a dream when you know something has signifigance, its like seeing the image of it turns on the 'alert' signal in your brain! I have had this happend to me, however not often.
I think Souljah has a great point, the dueling of yourself. Most people these days are in some sort of struggle within to figure out WHAT they really truly believe in.
As I agree with the others, the leos are important, don't just dismiss the 2 of hearts. Pheraps it means you have 2 hearts, one for one side of your struggle, one for the other. That's just a guess, you would know better than me, but think on it.
As for the 6 of spades... i'm not sure.
