Ap Friends,

I once projected in my brothers truck on the battlefield around Gettysburg, Penn. I do remember someone reaching out for me and pulling at my leg and that was it on the experience.

So I started to think where have you projected outside the norm of the warm and cozy bed? Ever project from a airplane, car, boat, train, roller coaster?

I somehow projected at school in math class, lol. Wasn't even tried or tranced when it happened just floated out. I went to some other classes and freaked people out later by knowing things   . Couldn't get it to happen like again but it was still cool.
^ I probably would have thought that's insane a year ago.

David Warner

Labouts,

Done that in class too.. Came back when and had the vibes kick my butt. Nothing like having that happen during class...grr

What about camping, boating, dream sleep lab... Thats where I'm interested in finding out.

Robert Monroe once went OB in an airplane. He went to sleep, then went OB and dropped out through the bottom of the plane, and the plane flew on and left him there in the middle of the sky. He saw the plane disappearing in the distance. He had to fly fast to catch up to his body.

why cant any1 OBE to see if the pyramids were built by aliens??

labouts

I can project from pretty much anywhere if I make the right conditions. If I have 6 hours of sleep and attempt to sleep in the next two hours I will always have a projection or at least lucid dream. I have done it camping, car rides, and other weird places but I usually just go back to my body after a few moments (I don't like the idea of leaving it in unfamiliar or moving condition).
Huh, I guess I might experiment with odd locations once I'm done with my current projects..hehe I think I'll try while in tree, that should be amusing.

I want to project to .Margaritaville down in the Florida Keys.. or maybe the Hogs Breath bar...

hmm, sounds like a new experiment stirring!!

no kidding. who did build the pyramids.. if people can so called time travel and ap to past events and such then why not to important so called events. I either feel that these people who know cant say because they might get owned by the government or ???? . Or that the time travel thing is BS.

David Warner

Unison,

I've time traveled back to the past and saw the birth of Christ. I don't announce to the world, only in this forum.

people...dont you get it...

the past and future are IDEAS. Nothing more. The only real truth is Now.

THAT is why its so hard to project into the past/future. What you are seeing could just as easily be a creation of your own mind. Theres literally no difference.

Whats the difference between a memory and an idea? The memory happened? Ha...
EXPERIENCE IS KNOWLEDGE

Why dont I time travel well.. I just had my first astral experience this morning.. I cant be 100% sure cuz my bedroom was backwards. It was different than a dream to me. My lucid dream before that was so surreal that I thought nothing could have been more real..errrr wrong the so called mini seperation I had felt realer. I couldnt get my leg loose and I kept sinking into the ground. I felt very much like a child learning something new. I love that feeling but at the same time I want to just know how to do this stuff you know. If I get good enough to stay in the astral for id say 30 minutes id have enough time to concentrate on time travel back to past events that really happened in my life and then see if it was real and then maybe id start going back in time locally where I live to see what happens.

Boris

Major Tom, I read your posts with great interest, but this time I
don't know what you are on about, on Ben's post. He is certainly
not "insulting anyone with his opinion".
The point he makes about whether the past or future exist are right
on target and very relevant to this discussion.

Ben saying things like that is a long, long way from the preaching
in churches that people like us do not like.

I do not believe that the future or the past exist in the sense of
their being places that you could go and visit in any ELS (earth
life system) physical reality.
The future does not exist because it has not happened yet, and the
past is over and gone, and the places where it existed are now
being used in the present. They are not off somewhere else so you
could go visit there. It would take a whole chapter to explain
this, and explain how I can not see the emperor's new clothes.

I believe that the past exists in the astral as a place that you
could visit if you had the ability, and extensive imagery could be
found there, seeming to be real. Also, the past recreates itself in
some known paranormal phenomena, in which people see houses or
roads that are not there any more, but appear real at special
times.

The future exists in the astral, but this is not the real future,
only the probable future, and maybe it is only one of several
probable futures.

I think you're idea is legitimate.  There is no proof that the past ever existed at all.  It's quite possible that the "past" is just a collection of memories implanted in my mind, and I've only been alive for a few microseconds.  It could all just be an illusion, I have no way of knowing.  Similarly, it could all just end again in a few more microseconds.

Perhaps then (and if I have a "soul") I could get dropped into another "universe" with a completely different set of memories.

The only thing which is actually real is the "now", in the sense that I know that I exist right "now" (and I'm not even sure about that!).  But there is no actual proof that there ever was a past and no guarantee that there will be a future.

This idea might sound crack-pot, but it is totally sound as a theory of existence, can not be disproven, and might actually be true!

Surely you've heard of Einstein's time-space continuum which explains that physical places in fact are not "re-used" as you suggest but in fact actually are "off somewhere else" because they have a constantly changing position along the time dimension? Feynman also used the same idea (of a time-space continuum) in his time-space diagrams to explain interactions of sub-atomic particles.

well theorically you can astral project from any place you're in but when you get the habit of APing from your bed it's hard to even try it when you're not there

I remember one time I tried to AP during the Philosophy class!!!

I agree in some ways with Major Tom. Its simply the wording of the post which basically states "my idea IS right, and i need to educate you". Im sure it wasnt meant like that, and as an idea its quite solid. Its still possible however to clarify that events viewed while projecting to the past are accurate. Pick a point in history you know little about (but thats well documented) and then after projecting there, compare details viewed to details that actually took place. This of course couldn't be done for the creation of the pyramids :(.

QuoteTHAT is why its so hard to project into the past/future. What you are seeing could just as easily be a creation of your own mind. Theres literally no difference.

I think you can also add the present into that, the second you project to what you think is the present your running on the same basic creation processes you would be if you thought you were projecting to the past, you see in alot of respects what you expect to see. I think that could be a factor in why its hard to get solid results in experiments.

As for the original post, ive never projected or even had lucid dreams beyond the confines of my bed. Ive always wondered if it would be easier to project in a sensory deprivation tank, anyone tried them?

I'm definitely not a physicist, but I really like the discussions about time and it's true nature (or lack thereof).  Even in the physical world, it is far from stable... we all have some days that go quickly, and other days that last forever.  Clearly, it has everything to do with perception.

Still, I don't understand when people say it isn't real, or it doesn't matter, because regardless of what we think of it, the minutes, hours, days, weeks, and years keep coming and going.  I know that in the larger universe out there, things are very different, and I look forward to experiencing it more for myself.  But here and now, how can we not accept it as a real and meaningful thing?

To answer the topic (but in a way that has nothing to do with time/space really) I have projected into my eyeball. It was my first OBE (but not really OB, since I was in my eye). It was amazing. I was a floating in my eye, all my mental faculties working perfectly, my visual senses so much keener than in waking life. It was much more than I could ever imagine.

I reached my eyeball just by thinking about it. I actually started off in F-Z, or the void, and I couldn't figure out where I was. So I thought, maybe I've actually gone inside myself. And sure enough, next thing I new I was traveling down a vein into my eye. For those that can project/phase frequently, I would suggest going inside their body sometime. It was an amazing experience.

The furthest I've ever projected away from my body was to my workplace. The lobby area was out of sync, and I stumbled into a terrifying withered old hag with purple hair piled onto her head, and white light seething from her eyes.

The next furthest was to the door of my bedroom. I tried going through it, but I smacked into it.

Ah, reminiscing is making me want to get out even more. There is so much to explore, and I am so unsatisfied with how often I get the opportunity.

David Warner

why would you project into your eyeball if you don't mind me asking? was this something that you've always wanted to do, or at the time seemed right?

i questioned about projecting and then looking into the body from head to toe.. that would be weird, scary and interesting..

I almost got the moon once, then I realised what I was doing and backed out quick smart.

Andali27,

I went to the moon a few times in the past and did basically the same thing you did. It wasn't ready for the reality and very nervous.

Although, last week I did travel to the moon and was with someone else. We both had spacesuits on and were fumbling about the surface. I remember clearly that we had a few fishing poles and were casting out as far that we could for fun. We managed to come up against this gigantic creator and all I could remember was "Sea of Tranquility" location.

During that time, there also was a space station that was carved into the rocks in the middle of the crater.

The interesting thing about this experience it took place in a dream , but the scenario didn't change or my location where I was. I didn't feel fear, anxiety or the unknown.

hmm thats cool...

I've heard there is a space station on the dark side of the moon. I think 'american' but i'm not sure and its supposed to be kept away from the public..

just what i have heard.

well, close to the end of the experience, there were three people. the two appeared to be workers, and the one was a director of the operation. when I spoke with this director, I told him that the US government/NASA has so much excrement up their butt that they can't walk correctly. This director seemed to laugh and appeared to be up-sett with the Nasa and the government. Some kind of private operation.

It was a rather odd experience, I couldn't even see the stars which confused me but I woke up quick smart, forgot what happened, and then remembered four hours later and was thinking "holy *input four letter word here*"

It certainly wakes you up, actually, if I recall, it was from a lucid dream and I just shot off somewhere.  Hmm, amusing
