Last night I had the worst dream I have ever had. A nightmare would have been a cake walk compared to this dream... Anyway. Here it goes...

As far as the beggining goes, I remember only the word 'ethanol' and seeing a factory producing a lot of smog. Any who... The dream cuts to this part to where I find out that the girl I like (Perhaps even love) is in the hospital and in terrible condition, however, will make a full recovery. That feeling was like the one I got when my Mom would go in and out of the hospital a lot, only, a few times worse.
Then I here that out of no where... Some black people (I don't know why they were black but... :/) came in a and beat her... They had ruptured her skull, and she was going to die in a few days...
Now, there are no words, and hopefully never will be, to describe that feeling. I mean, I wasn't very upset when my Mom died. And that's for a few reasons you'll find out later on. But... I don't know. It's the worst thing I've ever felt, and in my dream, I almost killed myself.
It ends with me walking into the room to see, her, and just as I turn the corner, I wake up.... My pillow is soaked and my face is wet from tears. My first words were 'That God that was a dream...'

That was the worst dream I've ever had, and hopefully ever will have....

Yea, I know exactly what you mean.  I had a dream once that I saw my girlfriend get run over by a car and I held her as she died.  It was the most real dream I've ever had, and also the worst feeling I've ever had, awake or dreaming.  Thankfully she was staying over that night, so when I woke up she was there and I could watch her breath.

That was a couple years ago, and I can still feel it when I think about it.  Why can't the GOOD dreams be that strong...

I have often wondered if the majority of mankind ever pause to reflect upon the occasionally titanic significance of dreams, and of the obscure world to which they belong.

I have had severely intense nightmares myself,
that left me shook up through several days...

The thing with these dreams is that they seem frighteningly real,
and they are enhanced (super-real) because of the fact that they are dreams, so the possibilities are bigger (than reality).
Also the emotions are a lot more direct and intense...
( in the case of the nightmare, i felt fear with a magnitude that i had never felt before :-/ ... it was very disturbing )

I also experienced the good kind of dream you speak of. It is a strange but wonderful experience.
They have almost the same (if not the exact same) intensity as their malign variants.
I spent the day(s) after in some kind of happy daze after having these ones.

I must add however that in the course of 20 years I only dreamt like that once or twice
(I dream multiple dreams per night). But I can still remember them quite vividly...

:) Hi all, glad to meet you. I used to dream[up til 14-15 yrs old] of a red ball that started out small, then begin to grow,as it would grow, my terror would increase, bad feeling, very intense. Any ideas?
