HELP
I've downloaded and unzipped these brain sync files- but I can't get them to play. Quicktime and RealPlayer don't work.
What kind of software am I supposed to use?
And where can I go download it?

Is the website you can download a trial version which doesn't allow you to import these files but a registered copy would allow this. I believe its 30 dollars. Contact me via PM if you need more assistance. There is a trick someone mentioned in another forum about using the preset to import whatever file you want even with the Demo version.

Gandalf:
I'd recommend F27, it was helpful for me to achieve F10 State (Mind awake/Body asleep). I would however suggest, since you have a mp3 player, to go ahead and record maybe the f10 for 10 mins, f12 for 10 mins, and maybe use 27 to fill the rest. I'd just keep experimenting what gets you into the trance stage quickest. I'd be interested for feedback on different combinations, length and order in which they were played. I know many people are asking the same question. It'd be nice to figure out whats working for people. We're all new to these presets, I only got them about 3 weeks ago and passed them along to this forum. Anyway I prefer to attempt phasing while listening to HemiSync, But I believe it's just as good for obe as you're reaching the relaxed state and your body falls asleep. Phasing is just quicker but you must place your intent of where you want to travel. I recommend looking at Frank and Ginny's posts since they deal a lot with the phasing techniques.

Anyone who has success using these presets please feel free to post in this thread about your techniques, length, and order of the presets. Everyone on this board is eager to make these work effectivly I believe over 80 people have gotten them in just under a weeks time... Amazing.

i was also having trouble working out how to use the presets but i took advice from another thread and just use the F27.

I have just downloaded them and will take the advice posted above when I begin using them. I also downloaded a preset from the Presets page of the bwgen site called Tommi's Vibration Starter.
I have tried this for 2 nights and here's what happened.
I created an hour long wav file and played it when going to sleep. Nothing happened. I was probably too tired and I am totally useless at concentration/visualisation etc.
I awoke at around 4am, got up for around 10 minutes, splashed cold water on my face to wake myself up and then went back to bed.
I tried again and after what was about 30 minutes the vibrations kicked in. I got exited because I didn't really expect them to kick in which ruined it and the vibrations faded. I failed to get them again and I must have fell asleep.
I have always found that waking up after 4-5 hours sleep then going back to sleep later was the best method of bringing on the vibrations. In my life I have only had 6 'proper' OBEs where I felt completely free of the body and all the other attempts have either failed due to weak vibrations or not getting totally out of the body before getting thrown back in.
Hopefully these bwg files (and some serious attempts to relax, concentrate) will help me out. I will keep using this preset before moving to F27.
Is F27 or F27a best?

mayhem

F27 and F27a appear to be exact copies of each other... So what I did was modify F27a by adding a background wav to it.... I don't think theyre different... someone pls correct me if you do find otherwise.

Synapse

i couldnt see anything different about them. a few people have said that it is not safe to use presets off the site as you dont know who made them. that seems like good advce but if it worked for you there cant be any thing wrong with it/

I supplied Adrian with that zip file containing the presets. I found them on a yahoo forum. They appear to be authentic and I don't think anyone would try to duplicate them as it would take quite a while to compile the whole set. Also I'm not sure how frequencies could be harmful? If they are giving you headaches and whatnot obviously discontinue use.. I haven't found anything bad about them yet.

clandestino

Hi Gandalf, I've been using hemi-sync for some time now. Typically I listen to the focus 10 exercise in the evening before bed time....perhaps a bad time as I've been falling asleep more frequently.

I use Frank's technique described in the "gateway pointers" post; I have been making some progress, slow but sure. I recently acheived a level of focus where the "blackness" behind my eyes changed from 2D to 3D.....but I could only hold this for a few seconds.

Anyway, I was very pleased with this, as this "3D stage" has been mentioned in a few posts on the subject.

As for whether hemi sync / bwgen can be used for only phasing or for conventional approach, I suspect that it can be used for either but there is some consensus that phasing is an evolved version of the conventional technique. Although the RTZ and astral co-exist to an extent, it seems that people who "phase" can by-pass the RTZ. I haven't yet read of any accounts where individuals use the phasing technique to go directly to RTZ.

Back to the old F27 BWGEN preset business. I think there are several ways to use the presets:
a) just play F27 straight through.
b) progress through via 10 minutes of F3, 10 mins of F10, a bit of F12...etc.

Also, what to occupy your mind with during the exercise ??
a) a scenario as per Frank's gateway post
b) Something else ?

As there seem to be several people at different stages involved in using sound frequencies to help us on our way, I reckon it might soon be time for one of Adrian's survey-type posts to see which techniques / frequencies/ etc are succeeding, whaddya reckon Adrian ?!

good idea somone should mention it to him. it would be interesting to find out.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Clandestino, thanks for your post... as the uni holidays have officialy begun I now have over 3 weeks of free time so I have decided to begin an 'astral campaign' and have recompiled the F27 file into an hour long mp3 file.
I just don't have the time/concentration for all this during term time so it is relagated to holiday work. This might be detrimental to progress because I'm always aware that there is pressure for success due to time constraints..

Anyway, I think your right about being able to use the presets for both obe and phasing, I've only ever projected into the RT zone.. I have spontanious projections to it during the night, usually once a week on average.. I have never done this purposefully so it would be nice to do so. I agree though that the astral proper is THE place to go and that the RT zone is quite boring once the novelty of a bodiless state wears of... (hell, we can all explore the RT zone in everyday life, why project into it?!)

I feel I may have some success with the phasing technique because every couple of weeks or so I 'wake up' while dreaming and become aware of what I call the 'cinema screen effect'. This is where you see a full, active, 'real' enviroment through some kind of astral window.. I believe this is what Monroe calls Focus 18 or 21 (cant remember!) Anyway, what your meant to do next is to move into it thereby getting you into the astral proper at Focus 23 or whatever they call it.
I have not done this though, I have been happy to just observe the screen and then the experience ends...

Back to the point though, I will listen to the f27 preset for a hour every night as I go to sleep (or rather, as my body goes to sleep .... hopefully!) and I'll let you know how I get on... I will concentrate on phasing this time round.

If anyone else has any recent succcess with these presets then please share them with the rest of us!

Regards,
Douglas

mayhem, about the importing thing for the trial version. Just move the file Presets to another file, and name the .bwg file that you want to play Presets.bwg. It worked for me, and it should work for you. Just make sure you don't have two Presets.bwg in the same folders.[:D]

Gandalf

Righty... Adrian was very helpful in posting the semi-sync presets for BWGEN.
Adrian, you recomended that concentrating on one frequency throughout would be better.... and that probably the F27 is the best one to go for.

I have now recorded an hour of F27 onto my portable mp3 (at 192kbs which is fine). You were suggesting maybe listening to this for an hour every day or somthing like that.

What I would like to know is what mental exercises you are meant to follow as you listen, if any. Do you concentrate on the sounds?
Also what is this hemisync best for? What I mean is,  can it be used for conventional astral projection into the RT zone aka Robert Bruce, or is it really only designed for 'phasing'
Its just that I got some (very little actually) energy movement when I listened to it last night, but I am not sure whether I should be following a conventional AP routine (rope technique etc) or 'phasing'. Is it useful for both?

Any help appreciated.....
I think others may benefit from any comments... its all very well having a set of preset sounds to listen to but not mch good if you dont know what to do with them!

Douglas
