Hello. This is my first time posting in this forum, and I am happy to have found this place. I hope we all can get along great. So without further adieu, my question.

Ok. How many of you out there have successfully risen Kundalini? Or better yet, raised Kundalini at all? I have a question for all of you.

I have read thousands of articles about Kundalini. The first time I heard about it was 4 years ago but I did not take it seriously back then, if fact, it sounded far too complex to me, seeing how I was only 14 years old at the time and was, well, your average, impatient teenager and didn't want to waste my time with stuff like that.^^

Anyway, I have been interested in energy manipulation and astral projection for years, and I have done several forms of Tai Chi, Qi-gong and even some forms of yoga ( or I believe them to be so, I'm not sure) anyway....

I want to know, if you raise Kundalini, will it make you dumber? Many of the articles I read said that people who have risen Kundalini ( the majority stated that their Kundalini was spontaneously awakened) say that they have trouble concentrating or have memory problems, thus putting a stop to any chances or hopes they had at Academic growth.

I am very interested in Kundalini, but I also don't want to ruin my chances of getting further in school or whatnot....Is this a common problem, or is memory/concentration impairment only a side-effect of unwise forcing a Kundalini awakening or not being prepared?

To those who have awakened Kundalini, how can one counter this problem or better yet, prevent it? Is it even something I have to worry about, I plan to take every safe measure there is if I do plan to awaken my Kundalini, and I have been working with energy for years, so, will I be alright? Please help me out guys. Thanks^^

I can say that in the beginning after i awakened kundalini i had some memory problems, but when one learns to integrate kundalini and get use to the amount of energy it brings ones memory return to normal or can even be better, it has been improved for me.

It's difficult to say on before hand if you will be troubled by awakening kundalini or not. You have to use your intuition I think. But if you feel unstable or have some mental problems then raising kundalini probably isn't the best thing to do, or I may say not the most comfortable... You can also seek advice from humans who have dealt with kundalini and ask them if you're ready, but ultimately that is up to you.

It can be troublesome living with kundalini, but the side effects get less and less disturbing until they disappear, it has done so for me but i have also been mediating daily and it took about 2 and a half years to get balanced, but I was also very unstable when I rose kundalini, and I wasn't planning to do so and i had never heard about it.

The Internet has resources who tells about the dangers with kundalini but it also brings much positive effects too, and i think it's worth having it troublesome to be able to experience those positive sides of kundalini.

what is Kundalini? i googled it, but i didn't find much other than the dangers, so i don't really understand it. what are some positive effects of having it?

Thanks for the reply stamboe, this really helped me out hearing from someone who has gone through this.

Also, I have noticed that the number of people who have arisen Kundalini were not at all prepared for it, or not prepared well enough at least.

I have also read that is DOES vary from person to person what happens when one raises it.

Based on your experience, it doesn't seem sound as so terrible as some people claim it too be. Atleast you were able to overcome some of your problems you had, if not all.

What kind of meditation do you prefrom, stamboe? and what other problems do you have? Anything worth mentioning?

As for you dmoney, I haven't risen Kundalini myself just yet, but I have heard of some positive effects, for instance, one is constantly feeling a everlasting feeling of love and compassion, better intuition, and enhanced psychic abilities.

You'll have to ask around to find out more, perhaps ask some of the people who have risen it on have them tell you the positive aspects on it.

I appricate the feedback guys^^

check out that site, just scroll down and it says how to unlock kundalini. sounds really freaky. every time i get on these boards i learn something new, and get weirded out.

dmoney: some of the positive effects are increased well-being, healthier mind and body, more in tune with the spiritual side of oneself and feeling more balanced.

DarkCloud: I surely wasn't prepared for it mentally but I suppose I was prepared for it spiritually because I could handle it at all. It is a great deal of energy to handle.

I also think it's very personal how one experiences kundalini because we all have unique  energy systems. Some experiences and results may be the same though such as feeling more love, getting ones vibration heightened and getting more energy sensitive.

At some times it was terrible I must say but it wasn't based on kundalini alone, if i had only had to deal with kundalini it may not have been so chaotic. But I kept a disciplined mind and looked at things in the long perspective knowing that if I kept on meditating I one day would feel very relaxed and balanced. And that is how i feel today and I'm thankful to myself not giving up.

The mediation I use is chakra mediation but it's probably more linked to NEW than to meditation. I move energy through my body and work on releasing blockages and tension to feel more balanced and in touch with my higher self.

Problems I've had is it sometimes got to much energy to handle and then i stopped for a while and went doing something else for example watch TV.

Problems I have is some pretty tough blockages. I work on them bit by bit and they release their tension day by day. I also sometimes fall asleep but that's nothing i worry about, because it feels good to sleep :)

Hope I could answer your questions, Christian.

this is a off topic but I have to add my 2 cents...

hey stamboe...have you noticed that you posted twice in a row during a "birthday of the hour" (15:15 and 12:12) I get this all the time....so in case you don't know you're synchronizing with some good vibes.. :celebrate:
good luck!

On two occasions I have experienced quite powerful kundalini risings - both of these were unintentional and came on quite suddenly.
One occasion was during a period of my life when I was doing a lot of energy work and meditation, the second rising was during a period of fasting and regular meditation. The second rising was much more powerful than the first (and much scarier – for a while I was convinced someone had somehow slipped me some form of drug – as the onset was rapid and very powerful – it remained so for many hours).
Both of these raisings happened during the time I was at university – and I personally didn't notice any long term detrimental effects on my mind or memory.

Hannah b: Didn't know that I was synchronizing with good vibes, thanks for the notice :)

Thank you all. I feel alot better toward this subject now. I guess I was kinda freaked out how some people may have exaggerated about their experiences ruining their lives...But what you all say makes sense, and now I see that some form of training or work in energy manipluation, yoga, or any other spiritual practice makes the process much safer.

You guys really inspired me! Thanks alot!
