Intuitive Communication

I have read a bit about intuitive communication with animals. This can also be done with humans, but of course, would be quite a bit more difficult if both are not advanced. I know the basics steps such as connected to the univerals energy or directly connecting to the animals through love and asking questions then checking your answers. I was just wondering if anyone has ANY tips or suggestions when dealing with this kind of work. I work with horses on an every day basis and went to a clinic that dealt with intuitive and energy communication so I've had some pretty promising experiences and continue to have them. It's like learning a "NEW" language, so yes I know it will take some time to develop. AGAIN...Hehe...Us humans, have to go and re-learn who we are...It's an interesting and fun journey though! I would love some imput!
