Past experiences

First of all of would just like to say hello to everyone on AP. This is my very first time coming to this site after researching Astral Travel through google. This site answers alot of questions that have been plaguing me ever since I was a child. I find the whole OBE topic fascinating and I even tried last night but to no avail. I got as far as body vibrations but my fear got the best of me.

To the best of my knowledge I have had 3 natural OBEs in my entire lifetime. The first was when I was 9 years old. I had been having horrible dreams of demons and even Satan that caused me to constantly wake up and go to my parents room. They told me everything was going to be alright and sent me back to bed where the nightmares only continued. By the third time I had become so paranoid that I became conscious that I was in a dream state and everything went black. It was as if I was awake but my body was paralyzed. Being a child who knew nothing of OBE I was scared out of my mind so I tried to wake myself up. It must of took me a few seconds but it felt like forever before I finally got up. I sat up in a daze and started to walk towards my bedroom door when for some odd reason I turned around and saw myself still lying in my bed. I just stared at it, not in shock but wonder. Then I just instinctively walked back to my body and was not disturbed the intire night. That morning I woke up eager to tell my parents of my experience but they laughed and told me it was just a dream but I knew it was too real to be just a dream.

My second experience was when I was 14. I wasn't sure if It was stress or an OBE. During my Middle school years I had gotten very little sleep with the exception of summer vacation so I was very stressed and tired all of the time. On one occasion I was lying in bed on a Sunday, so tired from lack of sleep during the week I felt dizzy. Just after a few minutes of lying down I began to fall asleep. Just before that I began to hear strange load noises. Load constant buzzing and intense high pitched screeching. At that instant I snapped back to reality but I couldn't move and I still heard those haunting noises. I was so scared I thought there was a demon near me or something. I Finlay snapped out of it and opened my eyes. It aggravated me that I was so tired, I just slipped back into the same situation and was hearing the noises again. The second time I got the strength to get out of bed and climb into my parents bed. After that I was able to sleep without the noises.

My third experience was only a few months ago. I'm not really sure if this was an OBE either but it was  pretty strange to me.
I had stayed home from school for a couple of days because I was really sick with a cold and a high fever. When I was laying down on my bed I remember thinking of my past OBE. I didn't have a clue how to voluntarily do that so I just thought about it as I fell asleep. A couple minutes later I got up and everything looked different. I looked down the hallway to the living room and there where white strings hanging everywhere. The living room was some what distorted but yet still the same. I turned around to look at my bed and I saw myself there but I was different. I was wearing black in reality but in this state I was wearing purple. The other me was looking at me ((sounds confusing    )) with a wicked smile, making the gesture with my index finger ((like "come here")) I was startled and all of a sudden woke up...
Is this an OBE or just a dream?
