I'd have to say that I have only had a wacko dream about a handful of times my whole life and basically every time Ill realize I'm dreaming and be lucid for a few seconds. but my dreams are always projections of the future and thus its almost impossible to realize I'm dreaming and become lucid in it because then I would be changing it. Does anyone else have this problem? or rather set back as I realize that not everyone has dreams of the future. I wanted to use my lucid dreams and diving board into a OBE but seems like that wont happen.

As any percieved future is just one of many probable futures, projecting into the future should'nt effect your ability to become lucid as the future is malluble to the extent it'll handle such changes.

I don't think that it is so much the dream content but just your general awareness while dreaming.  You could work on just trying to get your awareness up a little more during dreams, that would help with them being lucid.  One of the easiest things to help with that is looking at your hands or doing a reality check.  The idea behind it is to do a reality check a couple of times during the day by simply looking down at your hands.  I will usually look at them and flip them over once or twice.  Now you do this while you are awake.  When you get use to doing this a couple of times a day it will start to transfer over into your dreams.  When you do this while dreaming things have a tendency to change, or other odd things happen.  The reality check in dreams serves a means to get your brain thinking of your surroundings.

Knowledge of the future changes that future.  I dream of the future all the time.  And I have lots of weird, crazy dreams.  But that's years of horror flicks and video games.  But being aware or lucid during a dream has nothing to do with content of the dream.  You could be doing any thing, any time, any where and be fully aware and lucid, or not.  It is entirely up to you.

But right off I would get out of this mind set..."but my dreams are always projections of the future and thus its almost impossible to realize I'm dreaming"   Think positively......They are your dreams after all....Shouldn't you be able to do what ever you want with them?

thank you for your feedback and I will try the dream reality check but I have proof that my dreams are of the future. once a while back I had started a dream log but sadly after a week my paper was gone. half a year later I had found my dream logs to find that every single one had come true down to the last detail. so I knew that video games or things that occur in my day didnt have an influence over my dreams. though I do agree with your "They are your dreams after all....Shouldn't you be able to do what ever you want with them?"
it makes a strong point.
