I used to have alot of these experiences where I would be talking to someone who was on my bed and then suddenly wake up and be in the same position physically sitting up or crouched on the end of my bed. These people always looked blueish in colour, kind of ghost like but I had never met them before. I would always shrug it off and conisder that I was dreaming and just go back to sleep in a normal sleeping position ;).
Now that I think about it, could it have been that I was talking to spirits with astral sight and be sort of sleep walking to be sitting up like that? This used to happen alot when I was younger. Something similar that I will never forget was when I was tramatised by my nightly astral spiders coming into my room I would run screaming to my parents bedroom. On one particular night I happend to look back to my room and saw words (or just jumbled letters) coming out of the doorway, yet I was fully awake. Could this be the same thing that I had astral sight when fully awake?
My Mum used to say that every morning I would tell her about a bushranger that came to talk to me at night. I dont remember this but apparently I would explain in great detail what he looked like and what we talked about. I wish I had the astral skills I had back then, now (minus the giant spiders that used to attack me  ).
Anyone else had similar experiences?

dingo

The spiders and words are almost certainly hypnagogic imagery. The blue people ... dunno. Spirits I guess. Maybe your guides.
Apart from the spiders, I've had similar experiences.

You can have the astral skills you had then. You've probably just forgotten how to use them :)

AstralBorn

If I had to guess I would say it was a dream, and you where sleep walking...
Why? "spirits" are simply people in there astral bodys in RTZ... now, if you are lucky enough to see anouther astral body in RTZ then it would appare normal... at first, but it will go blurry, like the "melting hands effect"
They would not look blueish

They say that Ignorance is bliss, But hey I wouldnt know...
How is it for you?

dingo

They would look like anything they wanted to look like. Sometimes I've looked at my own astral body in the RTZ and found I was semitransparent blue or silver. Sometimes I don't even have a body, and I'm just like a ball of energy.

I've heard people say this and I relate, sorta.

My question is, do you see yourself as a ball of energy or are you just using that has how you feel at the time?

I say this because sometimes I see my body and am aware of it... then sometimes I'm just there.. I call it the giant head.    but while in this state, I've never seen me as, anything  see what I mean?

Thanks,

Nay

AstralBorn

yes dingo, but "spirits" are dead people... and they are in the RTZ because they are to weak to go where they are suposed to...
And if you have no physical body your astral body becomes your domanant body and it cannot be ulterd,
And living projectors dont tend to stop and chat to people at the end of there bed...

Sometimes I'm just unaware that I have an astral body (like your giant head, then).. But one or two times I've felt that I was an orb-like sphere. I can't see it because when I look in the mirror it's like a window rather than a mirror. It's hard to describe.. I just *know* I'm a sphere, lol.

I've never seen any evidence to suggest that dead people can't change the way their astral bodies look, but it's plausible, and beside the point.
This blue guy could have been a spirit guide, in which case, he would have chosen to look the way that would be most comfortable with micko.
You're not seriously suggesting my spirit guides died at a fancy dress party are you?

AstralBorn

"You're not seriously suggesting my spirit guides died at a fancy dress party are you?"
I am not suggesting they even exsist

Trust me, If the person was blueish than it was either a dream or one strange projector or someone who had been eating to many blueberrys just before they died... Or of corse it could have been a normal dead person and you had been taking some sort of drug that made you see blue?
But seriously... I realy think it was just a dream...

"I've never seen any evidence to suggest that dead people can't change the way their astral bodies look"

One cannot change the look of there domanant body in that kind of way without a decent amount of strength, Now, If they are dead, there astral body is there dommanant, and if there in RTZ they are to weak to move on, therefore they are to weak to change there apparance...
unless they found themselves a bucket of blue astral paint?

If my spirit guides don't exist then I assume you believe they are a part of the subconscious mind, yes? Well, that doesn't stop this blue man being produced by the same process.

Quote from: AstralBornOne cannot change the look of there domanant body
But again, that's just a conjecture (to me at least, since I haven't seen evidence either way). Would you say my physical body is my dominant body at the moment? I can change the way it looks quite drastically with minimal effort. All I need is a sharp knife and some painkillers.

AstralBorn

I belive they are part of the CONSCIOUS mind...
And yes I would say that the physical body is your domanant one...
And that is what I ment by unless they found some blue astral paint...
I would sure love to see the changing you are going to make with the knife

Hee hee, blue people.  Can I share something?  Thanks.

During one of my RTZ OBEs many moons ago I was floating around the bedroom probably pushing my arms through walls (knowing me) and there before me was a man standing by the bedroom door looking straight at me.  He was in his 30s, tall, stocky, roundish face, neither friendly nor unfriendly.

The most striking thing about him was that he had a bright blue face, just as if he'd painted himself with blue paint!!

This struck me as funny at the time so I pointed and started laughing at him.  He promptly disappeared from my sight, just like that.

I even wondered if he was on his way to a fancy dress party.

Probably going the same place as my guides then...

If they were part of my conscious mind then I'd be actively creating them.. That is why I said subconscious.

AstralBorn

If it were me seeing the blue faced wierdo I would have wished for a  new remote...   this ones broken

Again... Conscious mind... You want a guide... you make a guide...
You dont have to directly think you want somthing for it to be done with your conscious mind...

Hi dingo

Funny you should say that, after the event I wondered whether he was a guide (I'd been wanting to meet one around that time), and thought I might have offended him by laughing.

I've never seen him since...

However, I have met other guides, so I'm happy.

A "Guide" is there to help you... they do not get offended by you...
That is of corse... if they were real

I think one of us misunderstands the roles of the conscious/subconscious mind. The conscious may indeed want it, but the subconscious creates it. Otherwise you'd have to mentally control each and every piece of them and what they do/say. Let's face it, if I'm unaware that I'm creating my guides then I'm obviously not going to be creating every bit of them in the forefront of my mind. Who exactly decided that my main guide was going to be wearing a pink cowboy outfit the first time I met her? I didn't consciously choose that...

Quote from: SelskiI've never seen him since...
Lol he daren't show his face in public ever again...

Selski

Thanks for the clarification - perhaps he was on his way to an astral fancy dress party and got lost on the way then...

Quote from: AstralBornThat is of corse... if they were real

It doesn't really matter to me whether my guides are "real" or not.  They've been enormously helpful to me, and whether that's quite simply me being helpful to myself (a possibility) or astral guides helping, it's kind of irrelevant.  To me, anyway.  It's fun to have guides.

PS  Have we veered from the gist of the thread?  If so, we better get back on topic...

One of the guys from the Blue Man Group?
But seriously,  ancient Indian Mythology usually illustrated someone holy (I can only think of Krishna here) as blue colored.
For whatever that's worth..

Selski

Hi CFTraveler

I've never heard of the Blue Man Group - are they a band?

I didn't know about the mythology, but a quick google threw this up.

VISHNU the preserver of cosmic order (dharma): Represented with blue skin and four arms, often sleeping on a coiled serpent floating on the ocean.

I think if I'd have seen this, my sides would have split laughing.  My guy was a regular sort of guy.  I think he only had two arms (although I didn't really "check him out" if you know what I mean).

Maybe he was from the Blue Man Group after all...

I'd love to see them..ok, sorry about staying on topic

CFTraveler

I think they're a high-tech jazz band- I remember seeing them in IBM commercials a while back.  Back in college I remember seeing some beautiful colorplates about the life of Krishna when he was a prince- and at some point they start coloring him blue-and using the halo effect.  I don't know if it meant 'deity' or 'royalty'.  If it's deity I figure it would be applied to other Hindu deities too... I wish I could remember more of this.

Selski

Nay - thanks for the link.

Oooooooooooooooohh, that's the exact colour blue my man was
