Recent Dream

So my dream was pretty scattered at first but it ended up with me in a room full of people.  Weird thing was that we were all sitting on the floor.  It seemed to be almost a party of some sort, or just a group of like minded people?

Anyway, I remember that there was one person in particular who seemed to be the focus of attention in the corner of the room that I was in.  Everyone seemed to be really interested in what he had to say.  I remember that he was wearing a medal for some reason and that was what most people were talking about.  He seemed pretty humble about it, but it definitely seemed to signify that he was of some importance.

Next, I began to realize that the group seemed to be people who were interested/involved/practicing.... somewhat affiliated with Lucid Dreaming/OBE...etc.  So I start talking to a couple of people who were sitting near bye.

I remember that I felt embarrassed because I didn't really know why I was there.  I had to ask one of the people sitting near me "I am so sorry for sounding ignorant, I don't want the answers just spoon fed to me or anything....  I really am trying..." etc " but, how do you know if you are Lucid or not?"

He replied "How do you think I feel?"  looking at me as if he gets asked this a million times a day.  Then his friend leans over and says "You need help?"

I replied "Yes, I do."  Then, she turned around and talked to someone and pointed at me.  All of the sudden, everyone was laying down and they were dimming the lights and closing the curtains.  Then she came up to me and whispered in my ear, "Don't worry, I will be right back"

Then BAM I am back awake.

One side of me really wants to think that I was close to something there.  The other side of me tells me that I have been obsessing on Lucid Dreaming too much lately and my dream was just a reflection of that.  


Anyways, I just figured I would share.

It's hard to say if you were in fact lucid or not.  You kinda have to determin it yourself.  It is all a matter of knowing that you are dreaming while dreaming.  This alone does not mean though that you can excersize any control over your draem enviroment.  But usually you have at least control over self.  

Now that I think about it the most important thing that you can ask yourself after an experience to determin if it was just a dream or some thing else you be this.  Do you remember it , or do you remember experienceing it?

That is an interesting way to look at it.  "Do you remember it, or do you remember experienceing it?"  Usually most of my dreams feel like I experience them.  I just don't have control....

Hi Carl

I read your dream yesterday and it struck me as being extraordinary.

I think it's one of those "more than a dream" dreams.  I suspect that you were somewhere quite unusual, possibly to learn something.

That's the feeling I get from reading the dream.  And I know if it had been one of my dreams, I'd be thinking about it A LOT.  

Such a shame you woke up at that crucial time.  I do that too - it's infuriating.

I would urge you to spend more time on this one - I think it's a special dream.

Well, thank you for the reply.  The more that I read the other posts on this board, the more significance that I see in that dream.  I appreciate the support.  I really hope I can figure out a way to finish that dream.
