I had an interesting night of dreams. The main dream was strange as it involved periods of lucidity, and then periods where I was the observer.
It started with me and a friend attempting to project. In the dream his older brother seemed to know a lot of AP techniques, and helped us to project together.
The technique is hard to go into, but it involved the creation of a room (visualisation), the room had a lot of large flat green crystals and white walls. We placed ourselves into this room, and easily projected from there.
First we flew over my neighbourhood and went to a strange place, it was like a research facility on the edge of a lake, a dock protruded out into the lake and there were a lot of people there. There was a boat with people on near the dock too. We flew in and landed (I was mostly lucid now) and the people could see us. My friend needed to get some information from the building, and I kept watch over the people. I found that if I focused hard I could levitate objects, so I proceeded to lift people and drop them in the water. Before we left I tried to lift the boat, and with a lot of effort I did.
The people who were there didn't seemed pleased by our presence, but a girl grabbed me and kissed me before we flew away.
We now went to another location which is hard to describe, it was more abstract concepts then solid mater which can be described.
We returned to our bodies through the use of the room structure and I became a mostly unaware observer again. We were grinning at the experience and went to talk to my friend's brother, he could tell we'd enjoyed ourselves and told us the location by the lake was a F6(?) zone and the more abstract zone was (I think) an F27 zone.
Later, I find out my friend has projected and he's been gone a while. Worriedly I move my awareness to the green room and project, I now gain lucidity. I'm flying over my neighbourhood again, but find it difficult to fly fast. It's an effort to keep myself in the air, and once again people can see me.
I phase over to the F27 location where my friend is, and its like a white locale with a huge white cube (hundreds of meters high/long), the cube can open/close/distort and seems controlled by some intelligences. My friend has been trapped in the cube, a slit has opened in the middle and I can see tentacles/arms/ pulling him and grabbing him, he looks grey and drained. I try and pull him out, which is difficult to do. For some reason a neighbour is here with me (the were in the green/white room I'd been using as a base). My friend tells me to leave him as doesn't think he has the energy to get out. I finally free him and the cube closes. We get back to our bodies and I become the observer again.

There's a lot more dream after this, but that was the main AP related stuff so I'll end here :P
In the lucid sections, I had complete lucidity, and the realism was amazing.

Edit: I was later told what was happening in the cube. Supposedly the intelligences needed a man which they were going to infuse with feminine energy/create a hybrid energy form from it for some reason.

Hi MisterJingo

My first thought - have you seen the films, Cube, Cube 2 (Hypercube) and Cube Zero?

Sarah
We all find nonsenses to believe in; it's part of being alive.

I've seen parts of cube, but I always miss the beginning(!). Do you acutally see them before they're inside the cube?

No, not in the first one, nor the second.

Your comments about the cube distorting reminded me of Hypercube (the second in the series).  The cube is full of parallel universes.  I really liked all three films, although they got a bit silly at times.

Actually, funnily enough, looking over your dream again, it appears that the trigger for your lucidity is the room with green crystals.  In the first Cube film, the "hero's" first words are "I like the green room".  In fact, the others find him in the green room.  There's an interesting piece of useless information

Do you think the F27 was Monroe's F27?

Sarah

P.S.  I'm relieved you got your friend out of the cube.

I enjoyed what i've seen of the first film, I generally like Sci-Fi, however silly it gets
I'll have to rent them all and have a 'cube' day.

That is interesting regarding the green room! I haven't seen cube for a few years, but there seems a strong link between a large cube and a green room :). Perhaps it just goes to show how strange the mind can be at regurgitating knowledge we gained years ago.

I did think of Monroes focus levels, but Focus 6 would be below F10 - so that doesn't make much sense.

The friend who was in the cube is someone I haven't spoken to for nearly a year, and the dream compelled me to contact them again, so some use came of it :).

Edit: regarding Monroes system, I've had recent lucid experiences with Monroe himself. He was questioning me regarding my OBE practice, which techniques I was using and giving me advice.
A while back I also had a lucid experience with Monroe once again, this time there was some form of other dimensional beings too. They had a technology to open holes (wormholes?) from their dimension to where I was in my LD. Monroe seemed connected to them somehow. Perhaps coincidental, the night before last my dream was dominated by wormholes again. There seemed to be a lot of wormholes around the world, they were literally an inch or so in diameter, and could be seen as small 'bends' in space. One could travel from place to place by pushing oneself through these worm holes, it was an uncomfortable experience, with a slight claustrophobic feeling attached to it. It wasn't a lucid dream as such, but the realism was high, and I seemed to have some control over the environment.

I'm very envious of your dreams - can we swap dreams for a week or so?

F6 doesn't make sense.  Actually, using Frank's model (which I find easier) the lake environment seems to be F2 as you were able to control the experience (chucking people in the water and so on), and the abstract concept place is more F4... or 5 or 6 (even though there is no 5 or 6 in his model, but you get my point).

Interesting about the wormholes and Monroe dream.  That reminds me of the projector who used to project through a small place in his head (third eye?).  I can't remember which projector it was, but he claimed it was a very unpleasant feeling and not recommended.

I know that you have been lucid dreaming for many years.  Have you found that as time has gone on, your lucidity has improved?  I only ask because I've been lucid dreaming for the past 6 months or so (on a regular basis - I've done it since I was a child, but infrequently), and I'm finding that my lucidity is slowly but surely transforming.

I think my excitement has dissipated for the most part, and I am therefore able to remain calm and neutral.  The dreams themselves are getting longer too.  I'm able to "turn off" the more dreamy elements of the experience and feel like I'm starting to make some sense of it all.

Hmm- I read last year in prob. Science.com that some scientists were trying to get funding to create small black holes (very small) to study them.  I don't know if they did, but now I wonder!

Sure . Although they're not always that exciting. Last nights dreams involved what seemed to be a full episode of Lost (lol) from the future, and some sort of party in a pool.

That's interesting about the other projector. I've had a number of dreams where I've had to go through 'small holes'. Some are lucid but they always have the common element of me being able to fly and have psychic powers etc. All of them also have this uncomfortable feeling attacked.

I have noticed an improvement in my lucidity. Earlier LDs were quite cloudy, it was like I was awake but my mind still partially asleep. This led to a lot of fear because I thought I might be really awake but doing stupid things – such as one occasion my Mom was in the room ironing and I was trying to push my head through the window. The LD was so real I thought I might actually be awake, but my faculties slightly sleepy, and I'm making a fool of myself (it turned out to be a real LD :P).

I think you are on to something regarding excitement. After being exposed to LDs/OBEs for so long now, I generally am 'neutral' and I think this helps prolong the experience and make it more detailed.
