This is from about a year ago, i haven't practiced astral projection/lucid dreaming for a long time because i just lost interest, i was getting criticized by all my friends for doing it. But my half-brother just came back and he is staying with me. I just found out that he has been practicing astral projection for a long time and he has been using the NEW method energy works stuff. I just started on the NEW method and it really works in opening your energy pathways and such. But anyway

ON TO THE DREAM

Okay..i didn't even know i was dreaming at the time..that's how into this i was.. I was walking around my house and i did this method i had read on a website where you pull on your finger and if it stretches your dreaming and you will essentially astral project. So i did it and my body went limp..(this was in the dream still, remember i didn't know i was dreaming) Then i was in a dark place and i felt my astral body getting pulled from my physical body really harshly, it was so intense.

I was then in some desert, there were random dead and some really huge animal, cant remember what it was. I was like omg..where am i..i was freaking out..i had finally done it..got outside my body..i think i had astral projected to..somewhere...i don't know where though...I have heard of your astral guides bring you to places for reasons unknown and i think this is what mine had done. Anyway..i started exploring and i decided to fly to get a better view..so i flew up into the air with ease and starting going straight ahead when i saw these..spheres..idk..they had people..well...more like idk..little movies in them....I asked myself what they were..i then heard a voice from out of know where say..Bad dreams...i then proceeded to fall from the sky..i couldn't stop myself..i landed on the ground and proceeded to run. I started freaking out a little bit..didn't know what that was. So i tried to get back into my body..i felt myself go into my real body..but i was still where i was..like..i was in my body but i wasn't..I tried to open my eyes but the wouldn't open..they were stuck shut. I was so scared...i then basically forced my eyes open and sat straight up..

That's it..i was pretty like wowed that i had had such an awesome experience..i wanted to try to get your alls opinions on what exactly happened to me...and maybe where i went.

Hey DD,

No offense and all, but damn!  This dream you had was like I was at a funeral mourning.  I mean, there's no meaning to this whatsoever, it sounds like you stole this from "The Giver".  You must have been tripping about something, because this don't happen for nothing. You had some kind of chemical imbalance in your brain, mistaking it for the astral plane.  Furthermore, that's just plain out insane.  Moral : Don't do drugs.

Sincerely,
SEOUL MAN.

It sounds like a good experience, though he was confused, but nice transcendental imagery. Keep it up dude.

I get the impression you had an Astral Projection-were you lucid in the sense you thought you were dreaming or ap'ing?  Because I see your subconscious telling you "bad dreams will ground you".  Have you been having bad dreams lately?

And no the other guy i hadnt really been having any bad dreams at the time this was happening. If i was i dont remember, this happened a long time ago.

Yep, it can be startling as a new experience, having a site like this to gather consensus on really tricky subjects like "being consciously aware that you're  dreaming" is great, technology is yet to quantify such an illusive domain as the mind(but gathering momentum!!!).
Sounds to me that you achieved a lucid state of mind actively living and interacting in your dream rather than just recalling it on awakening, and when you do hit on this state of mind without previous daily thoughts/activity to dream about it's just like complete nothingness only the internal voice of you saying "WHERE THE F£$K AM I", then you try to pull out and when you did you thought "wow" and wanted to get back there but couldn't   Doh!.

wow.. a bit harsh there Seoul.. i mean what is this crap.. who are you to say that there is no meaning to this whatsoever.  I'm pretty sure that it had a meaning to ddrfrea62.  A chemical imbalance?  lol you sound like you want to be a doctor and tell everyone the answers to everyones problems is a pill to fix that imbalance.

great experience by the way.. i'm not very experienced in this world.. but i've had my moments(at least i think i have)  but i have to agree with ubiquitous along the lucid lines in feeling that you kindof woke up in a dream and had a bit of control with what you were doing but didn't really mean to go where you went.. which personaly i see as an AP.

keep it up.. i've been in the same situation as you almost giving up on it but there is always time to try.... every night
