Guides : where are they ? Do they exist ?

Has anyone ever met any so-called "guides" while OBEing ?

I am really speaking about seeing guides while OBEing, not astral traveling. While astral traveling -- what I took as such -- I met all kinds of "people", real or imaginary.

Have you tried asking for your guide to appear?

I tried that.  It didn't work.

Mind you, I only tried the once.  Maybe I should have been more patient.

When I started to project, I simply assumed that a guide was always present, even if I could not see or identify them.

Over the years, my guide has appeared many times in the out of body state, but never on my request. And neither can I simply ask to be left alone.

Sometimes I can even sense my guides presence in the waking state.

If you guide hasn't appeared, it may be because you don't need to meet it yet, or because a proper moment to contact you hasn't come up...

But you should not limit yourself to "guides." In Far Journey, Monroe explains the sudden changes that occured in his Hemi-Sync experiments when he added this to the "Gateway Affirmation:"

Also, I deeply desire the help and cooperation, the assistance, the understanding of those individuals whose wisdom, development, and experience are equal to or greater than my own. I ask their guidance and protection from any influence or any source that might provide me with less than my stated desires.

The important point here is that he's not asking for a guide, or a guardian angel, or anyone in particular -- he seeks guidance, plain and simple.

I originally wrote a big post, but decided to delete the rest. Meeting your "guides" is a very important personal journey, and it is something you need to think about on your own... I wouldn't want to influence anyone's adventure.
