Inducing trance states

FRom my experience inducing trance is random - sometimes easy and other times elusive. It is not really essential for projection- it just takes concentration and intent  and maybe a certain amount of luck. If you had a "free pass" maybe that means you are a natural.Keep trying.

In the world in general and in this nation
May not even the names disease, famine, war, and suffering be heard.
May virtuous qualities, merit, and prosperity greatly increase
And may continuous good fortune and subline well-being perfectly arise.

i tried again last night with some more promising result, i think i got the trance right by the outcome. i tried the projection technique where u focus on a point on ur ceiling and move it around under you, causing ur projected double to turn inside you, anyway i started doing this and i could feel it was working and about 3/4 it felt as if a freight train had hit me, my legs were suddenly free, and my waist but i think i was stuck around my heart centre up, i had vibrations but not like i have experienced before, they were very fast pounding sensations, felt like my heart beat, and they were only centred around my heart, and every now and then a type of wobble, in the direction aligned with my head and feet, i have no idea wot this was but i assumed it was just natural vibrations and tried to work with them but i didnt get anywhere, after a while, like 30 mins or so they died away.

can i get some response on this?

Hi Jargon,

The method that I use is to imagine I'm climbing down a ladder. I take a step or two down on each "out" breath and focus on my hands holding onto the ladder on each "in" breath. Once I get into trance I stop.

After practicing this a lot, trance will come to you naturally. I think it took me about a month. All you will have to do is relax and focus your mind a certain way. You will just fall into it.

Jargon, everything you are writing tells me you're moving in the right direction- - - all of those sensations (and more) can be expected!  

The trick is to say "yes" to the sensations, accept them, and keep your body limp.  Once those feelings come upon you, instead of dwelling on them, surrender to them, and open yourself up to what will come next.

PS:  If you are truly interested in trance, pick up some books on shamanism.  However, what you might be more interested in is meditation, and there are tons of books on meditation . . . and too many techniques to list here!

Dane Spotts says that to create Alpha Waves, close your eyes, relax, then roll your eyes up and focus on your breathing for 5 times. In about 45 seconds, you have Alpha Waves.

I stumbled upon the tip by chance and find that doing so (just rolling them up) keeps my eyes from opening.

With trance, I tend to have trouble with it. I've tried placing pressure on my body in a number of different ways (as you breath out, feel yourself falling). For some reason, I can't do it. When I work with BW Generator, or some sort of Hemi-Sync, it really helps in relaxing my body (but alas, no trance state).

Before I can project, I need to get my body relaxation deep enough so that I'm physically inept.

hi, this if my first post on this board. just finished reading the astral dynamics book and found the url in the back :)

i have been trying to project for quite a while with my interest wavering slightly but now i am determined to do it. I have once had a 5 seconds experience but i got wot i think was a free pass where i literally just woke up out of a dream and was projecting but it didnt last long, but it was enough to tell me it was real.

i just like to know how you lot induce trance states before projecting cause i have quite a bit of difficulty doing this. and also how long it usually takes before you achieve ur desired level of trance.
