hey so i have been interested in astral projection for quite a while. over 2 years, a few months back i had tried, but nothing ever happened, but today a friend of mine brought it up, and i taught it would be fun to try it out.

so i did, it was early so i wasn't trying 2 sleep yet, this is what i did

I lay down, looking up at the ceiling clearing my mind, and relaxing my body.

I than closed my eyes, ( i dunno whether i should or not) but i than started picturing myself falling, and seeing a rope.

all of a sudden i was seeing black and its like my eyes the vision opened up from the side as well (with my eyes still closed)

I started feeling vibrations in my feet and hands. which than went up 2 my face, i was completely shaking i could feel it, but i wanted to keep going.

than it all stopped and it was a calm sensation.

I did this with my eyes closed, from begin in 2 end.... what should i do, where should i work on, I'm really confused, especially after the vibrations what should i do.

as in what should i picture? should i open my eyes? etc...

thanks in advanced

Matt

Hi Matt

Keep your eyes closed.  When it went calm, you should have stayed with it.  Stayed awake and alert, while drifting physically and mentally.

Don't deliberately picture anything.  Just lie there and relax.  Whatever happens... relax.  Vibrations, sensations, images, dream scenarios... as long as you keep alert, stay attentive and relax.

You will get to the point when you realise that you have relaxed so much, you have practically folded into yourself.  It's a lovely feeling.  And then, just after that, you will instinctively know/sense that you are now a "second" body housed inside your physical.  At times, you may find yourself gently swaying from side to side.  Or you just feel like you've turned to treacle.  You can then lift your second arms out and wave them around, and if you so feel like it, climb out of your physical body and go exploring.

That's how it works for me anyway!

Good luck!

Quoteyou just feel like you've turned to treacle

Ok -- this is COMPLETELY off topic and I know it. But I have to ask this question because now I'm confused.

Selski- what exactly is a treacle?!   Being a 'yank', we don't use the word. I've only ever seen it in the harry potter books and it was always used in text as "a treacle tart". So I assumed that a treacle was a type of fruit dessert (I always pictured it mentally as a type of fruit pie). But I am having a difficult time understanding your analogy without knowing what a treacle actually is.

Thanks!
Reality is what you perceive it to be.

what ur getting seems a lot like what i get, matt. I get the same kind of vibrations and then it all feels calm. I have only been trying astral projection for about a month now so...

Hee hee.  Treacle is a syrup produced in refining sugar.  It is quite thick (rather like normal syrup or honey) and is very very sweet.  The colour is very dark brown, almost black.

There isn't such a thing as a treacle.  Treacle tart is a dessert, predominantly for those with a sweet-tooth!

You buy it in jars and it can be used for baking cakes.  I know some youngsters have treacle sandwiches (yuck!).

   Ok, now I understand.

And about the a, as I read your line, that was the one thing that always sounded strange to me, gramatically speaking. JKR always wrote something like "he had treacle tart" or whatever. I always want to put an a in there thinking it was a pie of somesort!

Thanks -- makes much more sense now!!

matt4dc, as the vibrations start, i usually feel as if this is the best time to attempt an exit, as Selski said, just 'feel' the 2nd body, you can use many different exit techniques,
but make sure you can really feel the body before you attempt these techniques, or you may end up rolling off your bed in real life, ive done it....its funny, but it hurts.
