I lay on my stomach and just slowly relax my entire body starting from my toes all the way up to my neck feeling each part just go limp on the bed while im doing this i also visualize a tunnel with a small light at the end of it and it slowly getting closer. I sometimes like to imagine myself melting into and thru my bed. I just recently switched from laying on my back to laying on my stomach. Laying on my back I had mild vibes and some astral noise a couple of times in a 2 - 3 month period. Since Ive switched to sleeping on my stomach a week and a half ago Ive had 2 OBEs and very strong vibes and loud astral noises about 3 days in a row. I started out doing what most books recommend by laying on your back and doing body relaxing exercises. But the very day i switched I had my very first OBE. If you have been trying for awhile a certain way try switching it up maybe a change is all you need to get better results.

I don't think the position matters to much. What is important is that sleep is achieved, while remaining conscious. Personally, I wouldn't sleep on the stomach though, as I've had negative experiences relating to it.

position does matter only in that way that it influences the sleep. e.g. some people can sleep only while laying on the side while other can sleep even while sitting but its impossible for them to sleep while laying on the side.

I am glad that it worked for you. I personally can not manage it yet. No matter what position I try I always fall asleep, and by asleep I mean mind/body asleep. I suppose I just haven't found the right technique yet.

It takes to long for me to get the vibes, no matter what position!

The vibrations aren't needed.

I've never tried it on my stomach, I sleep that way though so maybe it will work better. Do you visualise as if you are falling through the bed instead of floating in the air?

yes, I visualize melting thru my bed. I find that laying on my stomach is the easiest way for my entire body to relax completely. Laying on my back Im not able to let certain parts of my go limp my lower back for example feels very tense for some reason. If this is the way you are used to sleeping you might have to try extra hard not to fall asleep

Lucid_Learner

Makes sense, well I can't even get close to sleep on my back so this should work much better.
