Alright, well I've known about Astral Projection for a couple months, and have only even attempted it twice, with no significant results. I did have a couple lucid dreams, but never went OOB.
In the last month, I haven't even thought about it really, because I have been extremely busy, and haven't attempted it. But early this morning, I think I had my first experience.

Well, I caught myself dreaming, and the dream went lucid. In the dream, I saw my stepbrother, Travis. I asked him if it was my mind creating him, or his higher self or something, somehow in my dream. He said it was his higher self, and I asked him if he could help me project, right then and there.

Suddenly, I was in my bed. I looked up at my desk, and a miniature form of Travis was up on the shelf thing behind it. There was a non-moving figure of the same height, with him. I tried to get up, but I was paralyzed. I just watched. He turned, and walked a little to the left, and suddenly I was jolted to some 'Astral Cafe' which was like a little diner.

I was trying to ask if the lady was in the astral, and had passed away, but she ignored me because she was busy directing people where to sit.

Suddenly my awareness started to fade, it turned into a dream almost. For some reason, there was a lady with me who reminded me of Reba McIntire's, ex-husband's, new wife, on the show Reba. And there was someone else with me, who I thought was my father, but now looking back, he had the 'feel' of a father, but wasn't my father that I have right now. I think there may have also been a kid or two with us.

The waitress guided us to a river-type thing, which was going through the restaraunt. There were glass walls around it, and inside were tables, which floated on the water, I guess. The lady asked us if we wanted one of those tables, or a regular one. We wanted the floating ones. The lady with me said she wanted a specific one, but the waitress said no.   I sneaked around the corner, and found a door into the river.

I remembered I was projecting, closed my eyes, and unlocked the door with my mind. It felt very real. I went to go into the room, but I was jolted back to my bed. (I'm not sure if it was in real life, or still in the astral or etheral) I was paralyzed, which was very disturbing, so I started trying to call for help, but my voice was lower than a whisper. I noticed an entity, (non- threatening) was sitting at my desk. I thought it was my stepbrother again, and I'm still unsure who it was.

He started talking to me, I can't really remember what he said, but for some reason I wanted to get to him. I struggled, trying to get over there, kept getting shot back to my bed. I eventually got very close, looked up at him, and was teleported to a house along a lake. (in the astral planes, I believe)

There were two people there, one who was my mother (not mother I have now) and one who was my sister (not the same as now). I was excited to see them, and told them I was astral projecting for the first time. They laughed, and said I had projected there before. (I guess while I slept without knowing it?) I went into the house, and then hopped, and flew through the ceiling into the air. I went pretty high, and had okay control, but then I came back down unwillingly.

I was back in the yard, my 'sister' and 'mom' were talking about something that sounded like puberty for some reason.     I ran out to the lake, and flew super-man style over it, really fast, until falling into the lake and underwater.

I think at this point, it actually went back to a lucid dream. I was back in the dream I was having earlier, about someone murdering girls at my school. I was lucid this time, so I started to help, until I was jolted to my room, which turned into a non-lucid dream.

I didn't know I was dreaming. I went to my mother and step dad, who I'd never before told about Astral Projection. I was excited about my experience, and told them that I had something important to tell them later. (We had a guest visiting)

Suddenly, I was jolted, at an intensity greater than all of the other jolts put together, back to my body. This time I knew I was back in the physical. I was totally paralyzed, and unable to speak.

I kept falling into dreamless sleeps, and waking up usually less paralyzed, until the paralysis wore off.

I got up, and looked up at the desk where I saw my 'stepbrother'. The two certificates that I had seen earlier were there, but it was odd because I haven't thought about them in years. And I was at my mothers house for the first time in months, so they weren't exactly on my mind. I realised I must have actually seen them from OOB. But that wasn't all. In front of them was the little figure I had seen earlier. :)

I went into my stepbrothers room, and he wasn't there. I was very disappointed, because how could his presence be in my room when he wasn't asleep? Then, I thought, the experience must have been longer than it seemed, and he was there, but then left. It was still early in the morning when I woke up.

So, I came to the computer and typed this. :)

I have a few questions:

1) Is it normal to lose awareness, and forget you're OOB? Or maybe just your first couple experiences at least?
2) This experience was both an AP and OBE, right? I have trouble differing the two.
3) Could it have been my stepbrother's higher self in my dream?
4) Could the 'fatherly, motherly, siblingy' people be my family from past lives?
5) Does time move slower in the astral? (ie: Could this have actually been over a span of a few hours, rather than the 20 minutes it seemed?) I want to know if my stepbrother could have still been at home sleeping when I had the experience.

I also remember a few extra things happening that were answers to some unanswered questions on here. I remember they were very important, and I couldn't wait to post them on here afterword. But I forget what they were!   WHY DO WE FORGET THE IMPORTANT THINGS?!

Vilkate

Congratulations upon your experience! Keep it up!

Concerning your first question, I think it is normal if you happen to lose your awareness during an OBE - constant consciousness will come with time.

Concerning the others - let's wait for someone more experienced than me to answer!  :chase:

Thanks, Vilkate. :)

I was expecting more replies, seeing there's 60 views. :(

Vilkate

Well, at least you got A reply. I didn't get ANY for my last post! (It's a bit below yours)  :sniff:

BTW, I think that you didn't get more replies because it is quite impossible to answer to these questions, as nobody can really know this -

3) Could it have been my stepbrother's higher self in my dream?
4) Could the 'fatherly, motherly, siblingy' people be my family from past lives?
Next time you meet them - ask them who are they! :)

5) Does time move slower in the astral? (ie: Could this have actually been over a span of a few hours, rather than the 20 minutes it seemed?) I want to know if my stepbrother could have still been at home sleeping when I had the experience.
As far as I've noticed, it does run like you say.

Thanks again, Vilkate. :)
I don't NEED the questions answered, honestly, I just want people to reply, congratulating me.. I enjoy reading the first experiences of others, and almost always reply. You know.. it's just what you do. I thought.

SpeaK

Well, congratulations of the experience! Never had one myself, so it's cool to read what others experience.

Funny, I was just thinking about the old web design team over at EC, and wondered whatever happened to you. Got bored, came to this forum, read this post without reading who posted it, then saw your signature. Fascinating really.

Anyways, congratulations on your first (?) OBE, or at least the first you can remember.
