Dreaming of an OBE

A couple of nights ago I had a dream where I was trying to have an OBE, and I got stuck then I think after that I reappeared in my bedroom and tried again but was unsuccessful. Then I had a similar dream where I was trying again but didn't manage to get out (either that or I can't remember).

Wasn't really on my mind, don't really attempt to have OBE. I was thinking it could be my mind just thinking about things like that, playing it out, but I was interested if anyone might be able to share their thoughts with what (if any) symbolism this might represent.

Thanks.

Yeah, same thing happens to me. Dreaming of an OBE.

How was your vision, or ability to see your surroundings?

During a recent lucid OBE dream, I remembered to say, "clarity now" and "dissolve" as recommended in the forum. It's a start i suppose.

I remember in one of the dreams I gradually gained vision, it sort of faded in and I could see my surroundings albeit a little hazy. The other one i'm not too sure. I think it was more like I was trying to do it in the dream, then I didn't get anywhere and then I was in my bedroom asleep, where I tried again.

I can't say I have ever dreamed about OBE.

However I had a dream that turned Lucid when I came out of my body spontainiously and I saw myself. Then I wondered whether I was real so I flew around and stuff. It never caught on that I was dreaming though, but I was able to control it. Then my spirit body rejoined and caused a false awakening so I lost lucidity.

Personally I find dreaming about OBE's or trying to start one from a lucid dream to be problematic.  The big thing I wonder about is whether or not it is an OBE or just an extention of the dream.  It can be difficult to tell.

Another thing that confuses me is if you try and consciously induce an OBE you could easily just fall asleep and dream about it happening, this triggering lucidity but you would think it was the real thing. How could you tell them apart?
