Vibes and Thangs...

Hello all,

This is my first post in this particular part of the forums.  I've become very interested in AP after a good friend introduced me to them recently, and after relating his success in experimentation, I decided to try for myself.

Not long after that, I experienced my first "vibes".  After doing a progressive muscle relaxation technique, I soon began to feel a slight rocking sensation... It was very comfortable, and felt like my house was on shocks, and was gently bouncing up and down a bit.  I have felt this particular sensation before, and it usually happens when I completely exhausted or sleep deprived.  During the rocking... I started to feel localized pressing on my leg.  This was a completely new sensation.  It actually felt like I was being pushed on by a hand.  It was not unpleasant, but I admit my heart and breath rate increased greatly.  A innate fear response to a completely new sensation, I suppose.  Anyhow, while enjoying this feeling, and trying to calm myself down, I started to see what I took to be hypnogogic imagery.  I felt as though I could see my ceiling (my eyes were closed), and a white light started to slowly dance in one particular spot.  This white light slowly started to turn into a dancing rainbow colored spot, it then faded.  Next, my cell phone started ringing... and although I tried to ignore it, my vision, and gentle vibes slowly started to fade.  I laid there for about 10 minutes waiting for them to come back, but finally gave up, happy to have had my first real results.

Ok... So that was a couple weeks.  The other day, I had my most significant results yet.  I laid down with the intention of practicing for AP, but I soon fell asleep (as is often the case).  I entered a bizarre dream, which ended with me talking to a girl, and helping her get some food from a vending machine.  She had a small dog, and was getting ramen from the machine.  For some reason, I decided to lay down on the ground (on the street, in front of the vending machine), as I felt very drowsy.  Her dog got on my back, and was sleeping on my back.  It felt very comfortable, so I didn't mind.  Then the girl asks if I mind if both her and her dog sit on my back while I sleep, I didn't mind...

Than bam... I awaken and realize I am laying in my bed with a tingly feeling.  Immediately, my entire body is engulfed in what I felt as a localized pressure and release (like a big poke or push) in my first experience... This time it is full body.  It was really great, as it felt like a simultaneous full body massage!  About 20 seconds after, I'm hit with a quite unpleasant noise!  I had read about it, but not yet experienced.  It's very hard to describe, but it hit me full blast, and the moment it did, I was engulfed in a fear response.  The noise came so suddenly and loudly.  And it similar to what others have described as kind of a rushing, or staticy sound.  I told myself to calm down, to relax and ride it out... I was telling myself I knew what was coming next, and that I am an explorer, and this is part of the territory... the noise was subsiding a bit, and then...

My alarm clock went off, and all the sensations slowly started to fade.  I turned off the alarm and recorded the event.

Anyhow, I'm wondering if anyone here has the vibes such as I felt?  Like hands pressing and releasing all over your body.  In another forum, people were describing the hands feeling as a scary thing, so I don't know if this is different... this was not scary really, but felt quite sensual.

Anyhow... my first experience with sound, so I wanted to relate.

Peace...

Just last night I felt a hand on my body, the touches concentrated on my right hand, and, with the constant pressing, vibes started to appear.

During sleep paralysis I've also felt as if many hands were softly and gently caressing my body, it was very pleasant in the emotional sense of word.

Sounds like you were almost there. You should have, at that point started or thought about an "exit" technique such as rolling off the bed or climbing a rope.

Next time you experience these sensations just let them flow and build momentum and don't be afraid. The sensations can't hurt you.
