Can you have an OBE laying on your stomach
Life is cruel, cold, and love suck's butt!

You can do it however you want to do it. Don't limit yourself.

I've known people who could leave their body while walking down the street. They could experience bi-location.  Now that's a loose Etheric and Astral body, lol!

Over time your bodies loosen up and don't bind so tightly together to the physical body.  That's one reason you want to learn the art of slowing down the heart at will. Also energy work is important in real obe's.

I think women project better when they are on the stomach .

Welcome to the forum, Hagethuriel!

But what makes you think that women project better when lying on the stomach?
I'll probably give it a try, just to check this theory, but usually I tend to suffocate myself in the pillows when lying like this.

To modestly say my tummy is average size :surprise:  :eyetwitch: and I project on my stomach since 1998.

you can probly obe by standing on your head, hell why should it matter what position your in ? unless of course you can do it better in a certain postition....

It's all about being comfortable and relaxed. I've projected lying on my back, left and right sides, and sitting up. Whatever it takes to reach that state, do it. Like I said before, don't limit yourself.

It's more easy to fall asleep on my stomach and it provides a more secure feeling, too. It also forces abdominal breathing. I sleep on my back only at the beginning of the night when I want a restful, deep and more compact sleep. If I couldn't fall asleep on my stomach the second best choice for me is to sleep on my right side.

If you lay on your right side, or press something against your body beneath your right armpit, or just keep breathing through your left nostril for a couple of minutes the right hemisphere will become more active.

For the opposite side the opposite is true. Projection is more easy when both hemispheres work in sync or at least the left isn't dominate the right. I have no statistical data to prove this claim but it's a well known yogic technique. The Luciditiy Institute has also been long trying to investigate this issue, but they just keep passing deadlines and asking for new data.

I think you can project on your stomach, but it's harder that way (in my opinion, at least), as it's harder to breathe that way.

It all has to do with what makes you feel comfortable at the moment. You can project from any where and most likely in any position. My first projection was while I was sitting in class at school.

I can see where projection from on your stomach could be helpful for some people. I think most people try to move out the way they are facing. So on the back most people try to move upward. On the stomach you can let gravity help you out. Not that it really does, but your mind is accustom to the law of gravity so it is more able to accept you falling than flying. So while on your stomach you might find it easier to "fall" through the bed to get out. But it is entirely whatever you feel works best for you.
Alice had got so much into the way of expecting nothing but out-of-the-way things to happen, that it seemed quite dull and stupid for life to go on in the common way.

As everyone stated in the previous posts, it doesn't matter what position you project in, its all about feeling comfortable, relaxed and not stressed

I've personally projected on my stomach, back, left/right side and sitting up. If I was to give a solid response to what angle works the best - definitely laying on the back.

If the experience comes about and I'm resting on my stomach, I won't interrupt whats going on - I take it how ever I can obtain a projection.

Yes the main point is to use the most comfortable position. You may also want to sleep in a position that normally doesn't associated with sleep. For me this is laying on my stomach.

I often start sleep on my back to isolate "essential or core" sleep. The first 3-4 hours of sleep is especially deep and recuperative. To make it even more deeper and separated (compact) I often start sleep in trance meditation laying on my back.

I would regain consciousness after the need for essential sleep is satisfied with a strong urge to roll over. If I'm prepared enough and able to resist I could detach from the physical and have a very stable projection. If this fails or the projection is over I would stay awake for 1-4 hours until I feel I'm in the proper state to project the ordinary way.

QuoteI think you can project on your stomach, but it's harder that way (in my opinion, at least), as it's harder to breathe that way.

For me exactly this is the point in sleeping on my stomach: breathing is more difficult and needs abdominal control. A deep and regular breathing pattern would be set which is conductive for all kinds of projections.

An alchemical structure manifests in  the mid shaft of the lower leg eventually . After the wheel of life develops in each chakra , tan tien and joint ,the centres between the joints emerge . When these wheels are present and you lie in a fetal position you will feel the energy surging between the right and left leg , if you can comfortably manage to touch the ankles together that will boost it more . This energy rips up the vibes so that the magician can lie down and instantly vibe out . It does not however help with the recall. I find self falling asleep soon into my wanderings .I feel that a new centre is developing in the mid fore arms too but this one is not as strong . The hands folded in prayer do make a good ripping vibration too .  Again I recomment the right side or stomach to females and the left side or back to males .

Im a strange case because i can only induce vibrations lying on my back, even though i am quite uncomfortable, lying on my sides is my sleeping and comfortable positions. And lying on my stomach... just.... feels so wrong ( my back is forced to bend the other way and it is difficult to breathe, i even have the fear that i will stop breathing if i lie on my stomach lol).

I read in one of these posts to this thread that slowing down the heart rate is important for obe's... "Hmm...?" I ask myself. "My heart feels like it's alway beating out of my chest/about to explode when my ethereal body starts to vibrate. Am I doing something wrong, because I still have yet to fully separate; although I'm very close. My heart rate "increases"/skips a few beats, and I can begin to see swirly energy curls amidst the blackness, and feel my astral counterpart loosening within my body like a soft bed sheet blowing in the wind.

Enlighten me on this heart rate thing... What is it "suppose" to be doing in order to receive proper obe's.

Cosmic_Ambitions,

Its your heart chakra that is vibrating with energy. I remember back in the day when i first encountered the vibes, I hated them and feared the worse. After while, you do get use to the vibrations. If you can focus on the heart chakra and listen closely, its like a tingly buzzing sounds - almost like a bee or a playing card in the bike spoke flapping around.

Just relax, be patient, and enjoy the vibrations - also, just roll around and fall to the floor when your in that state. You sometimes have to go on gut instinct and have a little faith on exiting. I know it can be questionable, especially when you think your physical body is going to roll out of the bed, but truely its the astral.
