What EXACTLY is Kundalini?

I've been practicing Ki/Chi, Mana and Psionics for a while. I would like to know what exactly Robert Bruce MEANS by Kundalini, because some people think it's just using Ki/Chi while others think it's a special use of Ki.

Another thing that comes to mind is his opinion on psychic attacks and defense! I'm getting his book on that soon, but I would like to know if he thinks the etheric body is psychic energy or if he believes in Ki, which is a different energy from psi(psychic energy). Proof of this is on www.psipog.net, a website I have found incredibly helpful for psionic practices. Psi or the psychic energy is a mix of a by-product of when the nervous systems fire and mixed with tamed Ki energy; from what I understand.
I just need his thoughts on what exactly psychic attacks/defense is before I go out and buy the book, because I'm primarily focusing on Ki at the moment.
