The Israeli and Lebanon Stage

Hello! Anyone open to a disccussion on the Mid East? 
So the "Crisis in the Middle East" (as CNN so daringly puts it) has escalated so that Israel is, to the even slightly inteligent watcher, about to invade Lebanon. Who's fault is this?
If it was a question of it being Hezbollah's or Israel's fault (which it is not completely) I would put it on Israel. They take an incident and decide (with consent of the USA) to make it a "Middle Eastern Crisis." Two Israeli's are kidnapped, so that justifies going to war with a country that did not touch Israel. The enemy here should be Hezbollah, not the innocent people in Beirut.
Israel has targeted, and is targeting civilian apartment buildings with bombs and missiles. I guess maybe they've killed one or 2 hezbollah sympathizers in doing so, but how many more have they created with their actions? Throughout the middleast protests have flared, and riots broken out in favor of helping the innocent Lebanon people.
Who can blame them?
Although this is most probably a pretext to start a ground war with Iran, or Syria, or whoever else Bush wants to take on next.. is it really worth it? Although I think that many of the US leaders are quite evil, I would not go so far as to call them stupid! Getting involved in a country like Iran or Syria, or anything else would be disastrous.. already troops are bogged in Iraq, and china and russia are hesitant in helping us. Would it be wise to push the match CLOSER to the oil?

p.s. the above is a strong opinion, but none of what i said should be taken for fact. It is my belief that the US wants to get involved with Iran, but needs international support. A great way to do this is to attack Iran with the excuse that it is "protecting Israel." Thoughts?

I agree with you. I'm not following much mainstream news about conflict but i read articles from uri avnery. He is Israelly peace activist and imo the least biased.

Yes, I agree. It is clearly the UN's fault. Add this to the long list of their very expensive screw ups.

They failed, and in a way actually assisted hizbullah by looking the other way as they stockpiled rockets.

So what does the current cease fire really mean? To the UN it really means, give hizbullah time to resupply and resume terrorist activities.

What are 15000 UN pEACE keepers going to do? Spend a lot of money , look the other way, accomplish absolutly nothing, except give aid to hizbullah.

Wow I watched that youtube video and it was quite shocking. This Galloway guy is completely correct! The propoganda eminating from the mass media, especially this 'sky news' is massive!
The final line struck me very deep. He said that 'you believe israeli blood is more valuable than labanese and palestinian blood.' the reporter said that Galloway does not care for the mourning families of the israeli dead, but Galloway retaliates by saying there are many many more mourning lebanese and palestinian families!!
its the complete truth!
I feel ashamed to be part of a society that has such a one sided, ignorant  and condescending view when a conflict such as this arises.
