First, I was dreaming, when a guy showed up to "wire tap" my dream for information.

In the dream he walked straight up to my bookshelf, took two things, and said "Oh, you're into astral projection."

I was like "Crap, I let an information thief into my dream."

He dropped off two empty boxes and left. I grabbed up the empty boxes knowing full well they were "attachments," so he could find his way back.

I grabbed the boxes and followed him out out the door, he had a large pack of dogs with him outside as his guards, one of them being a Great Dane. They all snarled and snapped at me.

I started screaming and stomping at his dogs until they all backed down with a whimper, then I angrily threw his boxes back at him.

Realizing what had just happened, I decided to leave my body.

I lifted up my hands, which were invisible of course, fading in and out. I tried the rope meathod but failed, as the rope and my hands kept fading in and out.

I decided to roll out of body, and landed on the floor. It was daylight and I was having a good time. I thought to myself "Oh, It's nice being out in the day. I am really enjoying this."

I tried to go outside, but couldn't figure out how to walk through the door, I thought I had to unlock it first, quite a feat with invisible hands.

Oh, these little mental blocks. I knew I was not under the same "restrictions" as the physical world, I knew I could just walk through the door, but still...

Next time I think I may leave a window cracked, or something, so I can slip through.

I wasn't out for long before being snapped back into body like a rubber band.

THE THIEF'S DESCRIPTION:

I am still unsure if my "dream spy" was human spirit, or a spirit from another dimension.

I am betting on human though. Young. Long-ish blond hair. He wore an unbuttoned long sleeved collared shirt pulled over a t-shirt and slacks with a baseball cap.

Not sure a non-human entity could picture themselves in human form and hold it for very long, with that many small details. Seemed like it was the way he saw himself as looking "naturally."

Which may not be how he really looks in real life, just the way he sees himself.

Heck, I was surprised to find myself out of body once in full punk-rock attire with torn fishnet stockings...and I don't even wear that in real life. I assume it's some buried aspect of my personality.

Alaskans

Hehe I like your story  :-D You should try Norton Anitivirus, it protects against spyware too!

Okay, you guys: Here's the plan.

I got all hung up fumbling with the lock on my door, when I could have just passed through the door like any ghost. So I came up with an idea to get around this silly mental hang-up from the physical world all together...

...A drinking straw.

Madness you say?

Or is it GENIUS? Hear me out.

I can see light through the crack in my door.  I took a common household drinking straw, and strategically placed it there. I'm going to squeeze through the straw.

That's right. I think we've all experienced the Alice In Wonderland trick, of climbing into the butter dish and such, and they say these Astral Dimensions we visit are reached through microscopic pin holes in space time, or something, so I'm fairly certain I can do this.

I'm going through the straw!!!!!

I will not be stopped!!!!

What I have learnt is that most of the time, what you see as the physical appearance of others in the astral, etheric or mental plane is totally based on your thought patterns.

In one of my OBEs and in some of my Lucid Dreams, I was able to create neighbourhood using my power of thought and I was amazed at the many small details that were perfect for my creation.

I later stumbled on some spiritual esoteric information that said that all of creation is alive and that energy that is used to create matter has GOD's infinite intelligence in it and that when you create something with it you do not have to worry about small details because the energy knows what is needed and how to manifest it.

I took this picture for fun.

Nothing says "Space Cadet" quite like a tin foil hat.

(* Pic Removed.)

Here I am, looking ever-so-clever.

Alaskans

That hat is actually quite artistic  :-D I looked all over for a good art school that tought the fine art of Aluminumfoil Helmet Crafting, but I ended up having to take it in community colledge :|

I love the ball on the end, makes it look less crazy

What? No applause for the hat? Show some love!

I remember you from the Flash Gordon movie!

Seriously, don't let things like doors and walls get in your way! Just go through them!

Can you believe I'm a woman in my 30's? I think I have the Dark Gift of Eternal Youth.

It must've come with all my other dark gifts. Kind of like the microsoft office package.

Much easier said than done. I need to see this movie. You're the second person to mention it.

Leyla

LOL!  Hey, that does really look like my hat!

Yes, she is rescuing him from her evil father, because she thinks he's the sex bomb.

Leyla,

I kind of connected with you on being young. I'm almost thirty myself
and people are always treating me as if I'm eighteen. I have started to ask myself lately why is it that I don't look my age......(not that I mind looking ten years younger especially being a woman). I also AP and have lucid dreams too all the time. They increase with age. My latest one was of me walking around my new car in the garage, as I discovered that it had been wrecked I bumped into an astral being, a cute guy with a beard, I got scared (not that he was scary) and then I woke up.

Anyways the seemingly everlasting youthfulness that we carry might have significance....what do you think?.....and why would you consider it to be a dark power.......

:))

Ah, it was just a joke. You know, how Vampires never age. I doubt that's the case with all of us.

That's the one frustrating thing. There is no "common thread" we all share. Not a race, not a religion, not IQ, not family history, not a shared experience to kick it off. Nothing to answer the question: "Why are we like this, when other people are not?"

We used to do polls in here every now and then, looking for what we might have in common, but there was never anything.

I always used to assume it was hereditary, since my grandmother also AP's, but as it turns out I'm one of the very few here who has a relative who AP's.

So, there are no answers. We are just like this and there is nothing to explain it. It crops up randomly for no reason.

Well, I'm sure there's a reason, somewhere, but we probably won't know what that is until we leave this dimension.
