QuoteMost people have dreams...Imagine, then, having an unusually long dream in which there is not even a gleam of suspicion that a dream is taking place. Imagine...walking to and from places, eating, even sleeping in the dream, and not even knowing that it is occurring? In this dream distant lands are traveled to, many people are met, and several years go by without even the slightest bit of cognition, suspicion, of a dream...
Imagine every now and then getting glimpses of the waking world. At instances, there are vague or clear misgivings--temporary escapes from the dream. With these considerable experiences one might ponder the possibility of the dream. That is, one might consider that there is some factor which is restraining the level of consciousness in waking moments.
What is it to sleep? Is sleep simply the process that occurs each night in the transition from waking consciousness to a void of emptiness and temporary inexistence? If it is possible to sleep at night, to fade, consider the possibility of also 'sleeping' in the day...

Imagine this..
You wake up, eat breakfest, hang out wiht friends and go to school, later in the night you go to bed. Only 25 minutes later, you wake up and do another day's work, but this time its a dream but you dont know it. You cant choose which of the two conciouses are real and which is imaginary and you spend your life, every night and morning wondering.
Imagine this..

I feel a song coming on...

"Imagine there's no heaven..."
We all find nonsenses to believe in; it's part of being alive.

hehe.... imagine we are in an illusion world. Only 3 dimensions in this illusion world but there was a technique where your character would split in two and see the next level.

Hmmm...  Where have I seen that before

It's not a philosophical question or metaphor, but it's a pscyhological (practical) question. In other words, the being should ask the consciousness the question "How to wake up?". What fundamental communication does the being have other than expression? The being, in essence, should learn to express itself, through waking consciousness...

A topic that could explain more of this is posted in Spiritual Development section of this forum. It's neccessary to be practical with waking up, not philosophical because traditional philosophy has a sendentary (sleeping) nature. How many buddhist philosophers meditate? Ah ha! They don't have the truth. The truth is found in expression. Also, sedentary nature easily obscures the truth.

A wise author once said, "Just as the mind can make a mountain out of a molehill, it can also make a molehill out of a mountain". So, the mind can convince of anything being true. The trick, then, is getting beyond the mind, to the being (to expression).
