i have had some brief encounters w/ beings that may have been guides.  unfortunately they were so brief that i couldn't find out.  there isn't any special way to ask that i'm aware of.  you should just be able to ask aloud or to yourself.  intent alone should be enough to show that you want contact.  i remember reading somewhere that the best time to ask is right before you go to sleep.  

i would think that if you were a regular meditator that would also help.  that trance state seems like an easy enough place to be contacted, if you can reach it.  

if you have asked and have not received any contact, it would make sense to me that the time isn't right.  after all, it is your guide that's not showing or making contact so i would think that there is  a reason.  i don't have too much experience w/ these type of experiences and i'm sure some of the other  members here will have soemthing else to add.

How many times have you projected? maybe your guide or whoever is wanting you to explore on your own a bit to allow you to get used to the astral, or, maybe you're not really really in need of help just right now, if you really really need help desperately maybe then they will show themselves.
For now just project and enjoy the experience and try and learn things on your own, when the time is right im sure they will show themselves.

Why is it that they "normally" = all the time practically only show themselves in the astral?!?! I mean I can't project but I really really need some guidance or help or answers why cant theyjust come to the physical? They are high beings anyways they should be able to help people even if they don't even KNOW about projection... It just seems a little... Unfair, thats all.... any thoughts?

i've projected several times but it's always been when i wasn't consciously trying... either from a lucid dream or just waking up during the vibrations. what i'm trying to do now is project consciously from waking, but i haven't been able to. Actually the main reason why i want to contact my guide is for him to help me with this. i've been trying off and on for years to consciously project with no real success at all..

I believe they can come into our world, but I'm guessing they need a pretty darn good reason to do so.

The first time I met my guide, she came to me, but I think she did have a good reason. My beliefs had become totally screwed so I threw them all out to start again. after doing that I was meditating one morning & seeking direction. My guide had been waiting for me to find her for about 21 years, so I guess she didn't want the opportunity to pass by, especially since I was so receptive at that time.

I don't believe guides are there just to help us find our way around in the astral, I think they're there to help us find our way around in all aspects of our lives.

I think there are many times in our lives whe guides are reaching out to us or helping us, but mostly we just percieve it as coincidence or a stroke of good luck. They're with us, but we just need to learn to tune in to them.

Asking all kinds of guides for help and not receiving it? That is not possible!  Just discard any notions or expectations of what help is going to come. Will the guide come in a long stretched limo, etc.? Think of the cosmos as a search engine, without form. There are more formless intellgent beings including your higher self than there are physical beings that exist and anything that can catch your limted 5 sense perceptions.

Answers ARE coming, each time you ask!  Just ask very FIRMLY and very consciously. Be very sure you want this. Remember your requests. Then just go about doing your tasks and daily living. You would be amazed at how the want shall materialize, be it in form of opportunity, a book, a friend, etc.. Something is coming. It will not appear on your palm like a teleporter. Just be MINDFUL of the requests that are on hold. The seed is planted. It will just waft into your vicinity in form of opportunities and reachability. In other words, every time you asked, you just made the dream more true and more inclined to flow toward you. FAITH means to KNOW it is there when you asked, and to not give up.  You can cancel though if you changed your mind. People will say strange things to you, pay attention, because they may be bearers of your message. Or suddenly, you became so interested in a new hobby, maybe that hobby was selected by the guides to finish your request in portions. Things ADD UP. Sometimes slowly, you may need to be very AWARE how the little seemingly unrelated things coming in your space MAY be part of the request. If you are receptive to these things and taking them in, you may find yourself with parts of a WHOLE, that will come together eventually to form your original REQUEST.  It is NOT ABRACADABRA. Doesn't always work that way. It is to me more of a layering and buildup, like things become clearer when you fast forward a video, than if you saw it in slow motion. Patience and BELIEF or KNOWINGNESS and TRUST that it will happen is what you are going to need. When you SAY that the requests went unanswered, you may have dynamited the whole thing. Don't say it. Say instead the answers are coming in and I am daily receiving parts of the whole.

Also, there are other things that need to be removed from your path, like beliefs that are self limiting. Like, I am not old enough, or everyone says that, or maybe I cannot afford it.  All those things BLOCK your requests. Keep an open mind starting today. Your requests are coming, even in layers. In bits too. Then in the near future, you will look back and remember that request you made, and be thankful.

There are things that are not meant to change much, like the human form. Like "God, give me pretty legs". Those requests are fine, but in the scope of importance of things, what makes legs "pretty" and what would it take to make my legs "pretty" according to MY definition of what pretty legs are.  You would be amazed if you took a survey poll with photos of legs and find all sorts of opposing opinions. The request is being made though, in funny or hilarious ways sometimes, based upon the workability of the request.

Since childhood, I wanted to go to Hawaii.  Yet, I had with me this idea that Hawaii was very far away.  Once I got rid of that notion, feeling Hawaii was HERE, sure enough, within a year, I arrived in Hawaii, almost in tears.  Every guide helped along the way, and it was so quick once I corrected my notions about the attainability of Hawaii.  There are all kinds of forces in play here, the guides versus you with your beliefs. Change something, and you might see an improvement in things rolling better in your favor.

Guides may look entirely different from what you think they appear like, so you are not going to see them. You might however be AWARE or PERCEIVE them. We call that "feeling" as opposed to "seeing". So, the guides are everywhere. Like your search engine has the answers for you, gleaned from far away and deep in this huge haystack.

In re-reading your posts, I couldn't help being in full admiration over your youthfulness and eagerness to play a bigger role in increased awareness of the cosmos. I could say that all those opportunities were "denied" to me during my youth. I, coming out of the 1950's, (what a trip!)had to wade through the incredible beliefs of current religions and rituals, just to get to a point of complete neutrality and aloofness of any cult or practice, enough to make me RECEPTIVE to the REAL cosmos out there. In short, I lived in a world of security based on handy lies!  Just watch "Leave it to Beaver" rerun and you get the idea that it is not much different from the "Twilight Zone".  Lucky you, you are here, with Astral Pulse forums and lots of experienced people all tuned in to hear people like you. Welcome to this wonderful world of real stuff!

About what you wrote, may I suggest that for kicks, that you drop any notion that anyone is "better than you"? See how that feels. You may be a kid, but that is just a veil. You are in truth a formless awareness, with the capability of KNOWING EVERYTHING. You and I are in this DENSE matter (flesh bodies)for the duration and we communicate with each other using this matter.  What we are doing is making our awareness, that is eternal, more MANIFEST via our matter vehicle (our body and 5 senses).  What do you want to know?  Where do you want to go?  Usually, I start off not knowing what I am doing, and I just go about and feel my way through life and see what amuses me. I am playing with all my perceptions perhaps for a first time or I may be trying it all over again with a clean slate as a baby but I am sure I will be faster than my babyhood in the 1800's given the great opportunities we have today. It turned out, that I decided to become an artist painter. Only lately, I noticed I can dance and many other things that I was not taught in this life? I am becoming aware from age and all these great reminders in my environment, giving me hints everywhere, blowing the big secret!

Things are more clear today than in the 1800's. Why? because the veils were brutally stripped away by other humans for us. Some of them lost lives for us doing such. A great Persian woman named Tahirih in the 1800's lost her life discarding her veil, for women's rights. How that symbolizes what we are doing today, removing VEILS. Veils that hinder knowing, truth, Light.

Each time you ask for something, know that you are looking at a new veil, and your question is targetted at removing that veil! Millions of veils have lifted since you were born, because you directed your attention straight in front of your field of vision. You dared to question!

The strangest paradox as a spiritual being I have encountered is the sobering TAO, that ASKING implies ANSWER. They are both sides of a curtain. Don't ask, then there is no answer. Ask and you shall receive. The answer has to be there because you merely asked. Another example would be WET. That implies another duality: DRY! Neither are possible without the other. One makes the other exist!

Another strange paradox that I am becoming more aware of is that if we are created in image of God, then it must mean that we are creating, just like Him. We create thoughts! The thoughts collectively become solid over time or buildup, and we begin to walk on these thoughts. The floor you are walking on is solid, only in your frequency, but in another's frequency or viewpoint in another realm, your floor is transparent and penetrable to them! Just because they are on another channel, they can ignore your floor and use a floor that is maybe another angle slicing through your wall and your head.

So, your out of body experience is really beyond your current thought stream. It would merely require that you KNOW you are creator. IMAGINE! Imagining is a form of shooting out a unique vibration into the void. Go into it! Some will appear more solid that others. Some imaginations align with old imaginations, some are ringing a bell for others whom you might know from that realm. And they see your vibration! What joy! You are not alone! So, in closing your eyes, you shut off this earth frequency, and see what you got!  If it is black, you are looking at the back of your eyelids! Let go awhile, it becomes maybe a flicker of light, a lightshow, maybe? Change something inside you, like a feeling maybe, does it change the light show?  Or, pay attention to one emotion you noticed about yourself, indulge in it and feel it and stay there awhile, what thoughts surface? Go there, go where it seems to interest you. What you direct your attention upon is going to take you down that river.

I also found out that we go out of the body all the time in our sleep! And we didn't bother to remember them!  What I did was to practice DREAMCATCHING before I open my eyes at waking. I made it a good point or game to really catch them, and usually I did. Lately, I am recalling dreams every single day!  I got more excited then. I now keep a log.  Over the weeks of doing this, I noticed a big bonus to this:  I was an expert dreamcatcher AND an expert FREQUENCY CATCHER! It made my OBE easier and more expert!  That came to me a surprise! Mabye you could try this method!

Remember one thing: I would not use dreams to solve troubling situations at home. I would be smart to SOLVE everything around me first and that makes me a master at things. I would overcome fears around me daily as best I can. How? by realizing I am an immortal anyway, remember what I said before? I am a FORMLESS AWARENESS, an image of GOD. So why fear?  With that fearlessness, I am going to enjoy all the intense stuff in dreams and out of body experiences. I have read somewhere that things are INTENSE out there. So, may as well deal with things at home or you will see a grosser manifestation of that model in your dreams or travel. And if you are used to Fun Houses or Haunted Mansions in theme parks, then you may be ready? It is not too hard to decide that you are no longer afraid. It is part of the bigger universe that is YOU, that is supporting YOU, and the floor you stand on. If you can feel that the emotions you play inside you are going to appear in the physical forms around you. For example, "all boys hate me". That is a whole universe script you can imagine into a play. Yet we do this in real life. "I can't do anything" would manifest a rather funny picture in a movie too. Or if you decide, "Yes, I can do it, if someone can do it, so can I", that gets you on more firm footing and a better movie is played out there for you. People would respect you more. Your dreams would show it too.
Now, as you get really expert and say, "Even if it hasn't been done before, I can do it", wow, imagine what movie script shall play in view in your life! It gets more different in feel, quality, and climate.  Great people learned this trick and built magnificent cities. From their vision. And they had a dream for this firsthand! They go together. So, if you were going out there finding a guide to help you. Help you with what? You need a dream first! Then you have a question for the guide. And you are ready to take his advice! And it will happen if you are really eager to do it. And the more eager you are, the more eager the guides are. Why? because those two frequencies are close together and agreeing. If no agreement, the pieces do not connect! It is all about intensifying your beams to make things more frozen and manifest. Someone said that matter is frozen light. It takes alot to freeze something, lots of intention and wishing. And belief, and faith.  Walk away, it begins to decay slowly. Things that have most intention decay slower than things that are flimsily created. That is why you see around here things of different hardness and softnesses. All for a reason, all done by manipulated thoughts, all for purposes. Some purposes are discovered and shared by others. Things find other uses for their forms as well. Things get invented. In your out of body experiences, you are in actuality moving up higher into the backstage of creation!

Another saying that could be of help here: a Native American boy was discussing with his father Chief about his own personal discovery of himself, in that he found inside many great things like love, warmth, spirit, beauty. He also remarked that he found within some sad stuff, sorrow, wretchedness, fear, etc.. He asked his father which forces would win? GOOD or EVIL?  His father Chief responded,"The one that you feed the most!"

Your outlook in life and in the cosmos is going to reflect itself out there wherever you go, in your travels, your dreams, your encounters.
You are learning. You will find tests and they serve as opportunities of increased knowledge. More opportunities at bringing your awareness through matter back to your Higher Self. The most aware you can be, you KNOW ALL. Immersing into matter is one test the spirit chose to improve his all awareness as if it wasn't enough.

Sometimes I come to weird conclusions that a spirit as perfect as It is, can possibly be very bored and because of that, further creation is necessary. We are perhaps going to be around another infinity times infinity in this cosmos making variations of this awareness. Just to keep from being bored PERFECT. Know what happens when a human reaches some perfection? after awhile, he becomes sad at the top. He needs another game. How? start over! erase the etch a sketch or make up new game. To have a game, you need obstacles and a goal. Look at a football or hockey or soccer game. What makes a game so exciting? The difficulty? the losing? the almost winning? There are degrees of subtle differences that makes one game more exciting than another game. WE KNOW somehow.

Your out of body experiences are almost like this etch a sketch. You may find old lines and groves here and there from wear on the surface. You are going to find memories,you are going to find other things you can know about others' creations. You are a happy wanderer!
There are old creations and there are new voids of no creation but laden with possibilities!

IMAGINE! says John Lennon! That was the spirit talking! Everything around you are products of just that action, from long ago.

You are master! Really! you just forgot conveniently that you were. You wiped your old etch a sketch at birth. And because it is IMPOSSIBLE to hide things from a spirit, like you, you invariably, are going to find your ANSWERS! they are hidden pretty good so as to guarantee FUN in your adventure. How we pretend we don't know! For the sake of entertainment! We pretend we don't know, for example, the outcome of a werewolf horror movie: of course, we know the outcome! The actors get eaten! That is the typical plot of the movie! Variations prevent movies from becoming boring.

Your out of body experiences are GOING TO EXPOSE MANY OF YOUR TRUTHS BACK TO YOU!

ENJOY!  Like you, I feel like a kid! I must have deleted my etch a sketch too!  So, I guess we are guaranteed a great deal of fun and adventure in this!

I've projected for years, met my guides numerous times, and they almost never come at my bidding (unless I'm in a spot that really requires them to).  I've learned that at least in my own case, they only intercede when they absolutely have to.  They will expect you to exhert yourself and fix your own problems, and find out how to do things on your own giving you silent nudges here and there.  When they do appear it is either in the form of positive feedback for a job well-done, or because they have to take some drastic measure to help you.

hi all,

i've heard a lot of you talking about spirit guides, beings from higher planes, angels, etc. if anybody has experience with these beings, do you have any idea why a person would be denied assistance? as part of all my practices, I always ask for guidance. sometimes from god, sometimes from a spirit guide or my higher self, and sometimes from anybody who's more advanced than me. but for some reason i've never gotten any response to this, that i'm aware of. is there a special way to ask, so that they can hear you? are they helping all the time, and i'm just not aware of it? or are some people just meant to "go it alone"?

any thoughts or comments are appreciated.
