Hi! I'm new here and realized that i once have experienced ap, once when i was eight or nine, but never again, i wonder several things:

What could have happened that day (or maybe week, month? dunno) so i could get into the 5th dimension?
I slept as usually, and i can't remember anything special from that day.

Is it a like learning to swim, or is it hard each time you try?
(maybe you can't say that, correct me if I've expressed myself wrong in the sentence)

And I would love to hear your story about how you got there, and how long it took.

Thanks =)

There are tons of posts like this and even more posts with people asking how to questions as well as sharing experiences. I would suggest you first check the Astral FAQ and Permanent Astral Topic sections of the forum. Those posts should answer most, if not all, of your questions.

Feel free to post any specific questions here for answers...but in all honesty, asking for us to figure out why you remember it the one time versus the others is practically impossible to address. And I say others, because everyone experiences this stuff, its just that most are not aware of it. So your goal is in trying to increase your awareness/consciousness. That will enable you to retain memories of your experiences and also allow you to actively induce the experiences.
Reality is what you perceive it to be.

I think that initially learning to project is harder for some people than it is for others, which would probably explain why people take varying times to accomplish it - some people project after a fewmonths; with others, it may take years.

I think it's supposed to get easier each time you project. Practice makes perfect, I suppose.  :-)

If you have alot of problems, and find yourself frustrated, I recomend getting Boxed Nirvana from gnomad.info. It is very helpful when trying to AP.

well  :| i can't find a form anywhere with how long time it takes for different people, and not how it is to learn, to swim, or just hard.
Anyways, thx, i'll train on that =)

Quotewell   i can't find a form anywhere with how long time it takes for different people

that's because the time frame, as well as techniques used, varies drastically from person to person. What works quickly for one person, takes longer with someone else and doesn't work at all for a third. You need to spend some time (like commit to a minimum of 30 min daily practice for one technique for 1 month) and then review your progress. Some people have them spontaneously and often, others can actively achieve them a couple of times a month, and some take years to remember just one experience.

Trying to figure out how long it will take will only hamper your progress. If you are really committed to experiencing this, the length of time is irrelevant. So instead read various techniques and pick one that interests you and practice it. Give it some time before throwing up your hands in frustration and looking for another technique. Patience, above all else, is critical.
Reality is what you perceive it to be.

I know how you feel, z_ax_en. I get impatient too. I can't wait to project. But it's probably best if you take Novice's advice.

Here's a good tip: It has no comparrison to swimming. Or riding a bike, or blowing a bubble with gum, or even learning to whistle.

The issue lies within your mental conceiving. It's more like being in school. Some people ace tests without ever showing up to class, and others struggle hard for a C+. I don't know if you ever got this, but I had teachers say things like, "Remember what you were taught? Well forget it, they lied." It's a constant struggle of redefining, and coming to conclusions, then changing your conclusions, and changing them once again.

The hardest way is to take a 'technique' and practice it over and over again. You calm your body, visualize the rope, and pull. Night after night, you see the rope and pull. It isn't until after a long time of failure and frustration that you finally ask yourself, "Ok, what am I doing wrong? Nothing, I'm doing everything exactly as I'm instructed" and you get discouraged and wander off. Then one night, you get this feeling like somethings there, like you can reach out and touch it with your mind. You concentrate on that tingle, that feeling that excites you, and you go with it. You realize it has nothing to do with the rope, or how hard you pull.

Anyways, I'll leave you with that. To summarize, if you want to pull a rope then you can quite successfully pull a rope. If you wanted to explore the outer reaches of your mind, well then that's a different story. How long will it take you to understand the inner workings of your mind better?
As it as written, now and forever shall be. In the name of the Stevo, amen.

It gets easier the more you do it.
