Hypnogogic images, maybe?

Hey everyone, I was wondering how exactly to tell if you've experienced hypnogogic images, or how to tell when you start them while phasing?  See, my problem is, is that while I'm trying to phase, I think that I might have had a thought.  That sounds strange lol, but I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'll have a image, and then I'll wonder, was that a hypnogogic one, and then I THINK that I had a thought, and a minute later that "thought" will be a hypnogogic image of that "thought" leaving me wondering if the "thought" was an actual thought or a hypnogogic image, and often times, just thinking this pulls me out of the images I did have.  Does anyone have any ideas on how to stop this?

Hehehe.. you have to stop questioning things and just let them happen.  That inner conversation with yourself will mess you up everytime.  It takes some practice but very do-able.  I used to actually scold myself when my mind wandered... I learned that you have to just not think about it and move on. :-D

hmm okay, it sounds very hard to do though, I'm not puposefully thinking about it, it just happens lol, but I'll try to just let it go.  Thank you TalaNay.

I know it sounds hard.  If you saw my post about meditation, that might help.  You have to start from the bottom and work your way up.  Like I mentioned, I focused on the different aspects to help break it down.  It also took months..but that was fine...well, for me. :)

You literally have to NOT think.. and believe me, I understand how silly that sounds and how hard it is, but that is what is necessary.  If I can do it.. anyone can.  I'm naturally hyper.  My mind does not stop until I make it stop and it did take years to fix that.  In the end.. it's all good and worth it.
