Ive been hearing alot about this 2012 stuff, I keep hearing about it happening, whats being SAID, I cant really find much other then the calander. Anyone with physical proof such as graphs, calanders, quotes from texts such as bibles, everything that can be backed up with a link. So post links... Not just whats heard or what you think is going to happen... Also anything that is going to happen in 2012 would be nice too, other then the "End of the world".

First of all, read everything (or mostly everything) in the 2012 forum.
Also, I don't think quotes from the bible would verify anything.

ive been reading around but maybe theres more stuff out there, plus it would be easier if all the evidence was in one place so it could be more easily reached by other members... dont know if anyones up real late at night, but at 3:30am on sunday mornings theres this wacko catholic guy on tv with some televised news thing going on and hes claiming that jesus is coming soon, dont know if anyone saw that on tv, but also he says that all the proof in the bible is leading up to it so thats why i said that the bible might bring some more knowledge. so maybe its more then just the mayans saying the worlds going to end/change...

hello......hatemetoday.... just because someone has a graph or chart with a website that doesnt prove or verify jack squat. hell, I could create a website and fill it with all the random nonsense I want all I have to do is add some fake persons name and tie on a phd to the end and maybe something like conspiracy inc. doesnt proove anything and I dont think the bible with start to become a tool to predict the future any time soon. I am still wondering why the end of the myan calender means the end of the world to begin with and everything other than that is mostly speculation so the conclusion I have drawn is wait until the year 2012 passes and if i am alive move on and worry about the next dreaded date like say 2056. who knows anymore

If you want just the facts do a search on the Mayan calendar or go to your local library and look at any book about the Mayans. The Mayans were very advanced in astronomy and math so there is nothing mystical about their calendar. They calculated all these cycles of time. 2012 happens to be the end of a very long cycle and the Mayans stopped there which puzzled people of today. What will actually happen is just speculation.

What I believe will happen in 2012 is, basically yes, the end of the world.  What will cause this end?  I have one major theory.  Everyone here knows Nostradamus, right?  Predicted both world wars, French revolution, yadda yadda yadda...  This man predicts the third world war to happen between this year and 2012.  In accordance to that:
  The United States government is currently developing anti-matter weapons.  Anti-matter is the opposite of normal matter, to put it simply.  Just like negative is the opposite of positive, left is opposite of right.  Anti-matter is made from positrons (positively charged electrons), anti-protons (negatively charged protons) and neutrons.  How these weapons work is combining antimatter (I'm tired of using the hyphen) with normal matter causing annihalation, the equalization of the two charges (that of antimatter and matter).  Pure energy is released from this reaction which is always 100 percent efficient.  All of the matter and antimatter will be gone, replaced by pure energy.
  You may wonder: how powerful is antimatter?  Damn powerful.  One ounce of antimatter combined with an equal mass of matter is the equivilant of 75 Little Boy nuclear bombs (the bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima).  This equals out to about 1.125 Megatons of explosive force, or, in other words, equal to 2250000000 pounds of TNT.
  I have reason to believe that, if pushed to it, the US would use these antimatter weapons which are entirely capable of destroying the world on their own if they contain sufficient ammounts of antimatter.  Add in all of the thousands of other nuclear devices possibly detonating from the blast of an antimatter weapon and we have one charred rock of a planet.
  It's not that the deveopers don't know (trust me, if a 14 year-old boy could figure this out, these nuclear physicists could) it's simply that they don't care.  They do what they are paid to do, no questions asked.
  Oh well.  It's not like we could do anything to stop it.  World War Three is inevitable.  In fact, I say it's well overdue.  I mean, look at the time between WWI and WWII.  Hardly twenty years passed between those two devastating wars.  Not to mention that we're well overdue in using a nuclear weapon in war.  So far, only two nuclear weapons have been used in war EVER.  Those two were Little Boy on Hiroshima and Fat Man on Nagasaki.  They were dropped less than a month apart.

It is nearly impossible to make any Positive Assertion supported by Proof.  In any case where there is more than 1 variable, one loses any claim of Cause and Effect.

Skeptics and Atheists always falll back on Proof as a dodge.  Since proving anything outside of a laboratory is impossible by the standards of ANY modern scientific protocol, it is gratuitously safe to stonewall any argument with demands for Proof.

And you said overdue for a world war?  What does that even mean?  I would pick apart the entire thing you said but hopefully people will take it for what it is.

It is not unreasonable to ask for proof.  It is a shame you try to defend this 2012 theory by saying that you dont need proof for something like this.   All this is a ton of speculation.  I am sorry you feel you need to support this "destruction of the world" idea. Perhaps it feels a void.  Perhaps you feel by having this "secret" knowledge that you are more special than the rest of the population.  Perhaps you are masochistic and the idea of dieing in event that will destroy the world satisfies a deep desire within you. 

Although this stuff is great sci-fi reading I would consider it nothing more until there is some "proof" the world is going to be destroyed.  I can't even begin to support the idea that we will travel through some radiation that will make us super beings.  In my travels and experiences I have experienced nothing of the sort regarding 2012.  What I have experienced is quite contrary.  Most aren't ready for a change that will give humans greater spiritual powers.  When a change does happen that allows a higher capacity for psychic powers it will be another subtle event.

Also... I beieve Leo is getting "proof" confused with something else... proof is not a scientific word.  There are hypothesis, theories, and laws.  The amount of evidence is subsequently higher for each one.  So maybe you are saying proof is evidence... if that is the case then you can produce tons of evidence outside the lab, but you may not make a law with any of it, but you can make theories.  Evidence within a lab is more widely accepted because of the scientific process of eliminating variables... it also narrows your hypothesis.  Still I don't think its unreasonable to ask for proof/evidence in a situation such as the 2012 event, and dont say your evidence is a 1500 year old calendar which definitely wasn't produced in a lab.  Matter-a-fact we have no idea how it was produced to stop on that date.  Maybe if we had more "evidence" we could use the same formulas the mayans used to come up with it.

I feel some people get over excited when it comes to the 2012. The Mayan calendar relates to an acceleration in the evolution in consciousness.

Look at the facts. The introduction of concepts to consciousness such as family, tribal, culture, nation (involving law and punishment), ethics etc. These are all revolutionary concepts. Entangled are the concepts brought by Christ, Einstein, Newton etc. Everytime one seems to integrate itself into collective consciousness there is less time and less time. An exponential increase. An acceleration. This is fact. Where we're headed seems to be the issue that is being debated.

The debates amongst religion, philosophy, and science are timeless. Religion is bound by dogma, science by evidence, philosophy by logic. Art on the other hand has no boundaries. Everything starts out artistically. So why religion, philosophy and science are all necessary tools we have created to help us understand the world, it still baffles me how the inventions have managed to become more important the the inventors!

To ask for 'evidence' or 'proof' of the 2012 event is entirely unreasonable. Being the fact that 2012 has not yet come to pass, it will certainly have no evidence. It's only a philosophy and since is bound only by logic. Asking a philosopher for evidence is paradoxical. If he gave it to you, he would be a scientist. Most great scientists are philosophers anyway.

Time will tell.

Where did you get that information on anti-matter? I read a book called 'God and the New Physics' which used anti-matter as a way of describing the Big-Bang theory. Stating that an equilibrium between matter and anti-matter was somehow agitated causing a massive explosion. This creating temperatures hot enough to establish fundamental elements such as Hydrogen and Helium. Interesting book.

Dog read this website. You want proof, theres like 50 different peices of evidence. Once you see how many different and independent things suggest that something big is going to happen in 2012 hopefully you will stop hating. Theres proof in Mayan and other ancient writings and calandars, astronomy, see'ers reports, government top secret programs and time travelers reports, and many more. About 45 more to be exact. You do the math.

After inspection of the information available on 2012, it's not something I chose to ignore. I know that may not be correct in may conclusion but to simply say I do or don't believe in it does very little. Especially if the only information I know about the topic is that it involves the "end of the world". Which in itself is another topic with meaning up for debate.

Just think about how the enviroment is steadily declining, think about how each year more and more natural disasters occur, think about the wars going on.  while i personally think the change is going to be good, I also think that there will be bad change as well. I think that maybe we will be able to ascend to a higher vibrational level with the shift, while perhaps somthing cataclysmic occurs on the physical plane. just an idea...

I am interested in the material relating to antimatter weapons as well. I am generally up to date with scientific developments, and I am surprised I would not know of this were it legitimate; I certainly don't believe it impossible by a longshot, but something of this magnitude would appear to generate more talk to me.

Experiments involving weapons of mass destruction do not have much talk associated with them at all. The public is more focused on the war on terror at the moment. Largely due to the media.

The government won't be releasing any discoveries involving antimatter prematurely. You may not have come across it because it is not completely understood, in fact I think they are still looking for it and at the moment it's just a concept.

Anyone have a site on it? I just had a look for a scientific report from a credible site and couldn't find one.

The sun will outlive humanity. Our fossil fuels will be depleted before the sun runs out. Not to mention the growing possibility that we'll end up killing ourselves. Either through war or pollution.
