When you're dreaming and are NOT lucid, you're accessing your sub-consciousness and thus are unconscious, having no control.  However, if you're conscious - whilst dreaming, can you access parts of  your subconsious mind?

I don't see why not. Dreams are where the subconscious is able to manifest, so you could confront parts of your subconscious, but understanding it is a another deal. I'm sure it's a great way to work out subconscious things. I've dealt with subconscious problems/quirks during meditations where they had manifested.

Dreams are really just projections of your subconscious. So it seems that your dreams are a way for you to tap into your subconscious and find out whats going on... sounds like it could work yeh

Hi Lucid,

I saw a post from you only the other day and thought to myself, you'd be a good person to answer this question...

Thanks for your info... The reason I asked this question is this; Last week I had a very vivid dream - it wasn't lucid unfortunately.  Within this dream, I had access to knowledge, words I couldn't possibly conceive whilst conscious.  I woke up and remembered the dream, but I couldn't believe some of the things I said.  I looked up some of this knowledge and words and they was 100% accurate. I didn't understand this... Maybe at some point in my life, my subconscious picked this information up and my consciousness didn't realise or I just forgot.
