Alien abduction and OBE

Well a couple of days ago I watched the show "Is it real: Alien Abduction" on National Geographic.
First of all I don't think it is, but here is the thing.
The people who say they were abducted tell the following:
They wake up in the middle of the night unable to move. The air feels "crisp". They see figures at their bed and then they begin to float towards the spaceship. Often through walls or closed windows.
If this is not an OBE I don't know what is......

Could it be that this whole alien abduction phenomena is just OBEs where the mind creates things (the aliens etc.) which are not acctually there?

I also think that alien abductions are OBEs... BUT! How do we know that they're not genuine abductions irregardless? :p

Because think about this:
Aliens have spaceships, can't be detected, in short their technology is much more advanced then ours. Atleast they are protrayed like this.

Now do you honestly think, an alien race so advanced, has to beam you up and then stick something up you behind to take a reading? "Probing" is such a unadvanced method... it doesn't fit the overall image.

its like:
"using our advanced technology we will find a perfect specimen, beam him up using our advanced transport system and then we will use a probe, even behind earth standards, since we do not have simple x-ray machines to examine him or her"

I agree that a lot of them seem like your run-of-the-mill dweller on the treshold hallucination... But there are also "positive" abductions... Rather than being abducted, the subjects are invited to come on the spaceship, and are taught about many things to help advance mankind. Robert Monroe and his explorers come to mind...

lol some really cool ones in there I've never seen, but a few lame ones too but you can just skip those. I didn't watch the interviews at the end though.



If "aliens" are as technologically advanced as we all think they would be, I would assume they would be as advanced out of body as well. 

I saw that show too I think and they claimed those experiences after hypnosis regression, no?

Yeah they did... Hypnosis regression, more like Hypnosis memory creation 
But I was refering to the woman they introduced at the beginning of the program, she has the memories without any kind of hypnosis.

I don't think I would let anyone Hypnotise me.... noone really knows whats happening, all fun and games until you get memories of events which might have never happened.
